Rob, yep. You missed dinner, again! Hey if Newman's Own donates all of their proceeds to charity can I write it off on my tax return as a charitable donation each time I buy a bottle? LOL!

Nita, thanks! I am going to relax this weekend and get to some chores that need to be done!

Last night was taco chicken for dinner. My son loves it! And guess what? That is what is for lunch too! Left overs are awesome!

Tonight is hectic. Friday nights usually are. I have to run errands and food shop before I go home. So dinner is usually on the fly. A can of tuna or whatever has been brought home from the store.

Have a wonderful weekend all! TGIF!

Mab, if your store has rotisserie chicken, pick one up. Add a bag of salad, maybe a tomato, and supper is done! I did that last Sunday, had part of the chicken for supper, more for on a salad the next day, and dh & I finished it up yesterday on a salad. I might even have had another lunch in there with it somewhere. Makes a good supper.

Rob - darn. I thought I had a plan there for a minute!

Nita - as always, fantastic suggestion!

So this weekend wasn't a good one for food. I really started out well, but wasn't eating enough and then I cheated. Bummer. And then I got right back on track, and cheated again. So. Here I am working really hard not to beat myself up. As weird as this sounds, I think I need to eat more frequently. I usually have two meals a day (lunch and dinner). So this week's goal is to add breakfast. Can't eat first thing, it makes me feel sick. So I am bringing breakfast to work and will eat it when I can. It is already almost 11 but I am thinking of having it now.

Ideally, I would like to eat 6 small meals a day. But that takes a lot of planning and I think I should work on staying on track first then changing things up.

Sigh!

I eat frequently during the day. At first it seemed like I was eating ALL the time but my body does well like this so it just became routine. It helped me to know that I eat 1st thing, 9am, 12pm, 3pm and then 5-6pm. I bet if you set your times it will help too.

I was so happy to hear that you are working on not beating yourself up but learning from the weekend!

Mab, you NEED breakfast. I wasn't a breakfast eater for many, many years. Now I have something every day, even if it's just a quick protein shake. Your body has fasted for hours, you NEED the fuel for your metabolism to kick in, and to just be able to function without being foggy-headed. You should eat a bit of something before you walk out the front door. It doesn't have to be a full meal, but a good shot of protein to get your blood sugar stable. And it certainly does not have to be eggs. (I love eggs, but can't stomach them first thing in the morning.) It could be as simple as a stalk of celery stuffed with cream cheese.

How about joining Susie's breakfast challenge? So far it's just her & me, so another poster would be fantastic!

Thanks ladies!

I hate breakfast! But I am going to give it a go. Nita, I can eat my breakfast at work too. Just have to remember to eat it. I get there around 8 am. So there is plenty of time...Just have to get in the darn habit! Yuck!

I'll join the breakfast challenge. And give it my best....

Thanks for the encouragement!

So, I joined the breakfast challenge! And I ate some this morning and it was ok. But it is hard for me to do it!

I stayed on plan all day yesterday! Ate more than I would have liked at dinner, but it was all allowed foods. Gotta start somewhere so for now I am not playing with my portion control, just staying on allowed foods. One baby step at a time!

Mab, you take it one little step at a time.

BTW, breakfast can be anything, even soup or salad! Whatever you like to eat any other time.

I can't do that either. I've been up since 7:00 and only just now did i eat breakfast. so lunch will either be skipped completely or eaten at 3 p.m. ach

Thanks for the encouragement and the support!

I am day three on plan. But... I stepped on the scale and I gained weight. Ok, I did not weigh myself after my little bingeing episode so I might have actually lost weight from that. But I need to really stay off that scale, it is e.v.i.l.!

Today for breakfast, cottage cheese.

For lunch, egg salad and a romaine lettuce salad.

Tonight, taco salad for dinner.

Getting my hair done and get to leave work early for my appointment! Woo hoo!

enjoy getting your hair done, mab!

personally, i won't get near a scale for at least a week after an "incident." just not motivating. you're right that it's probably gone down since the weekend offplan...remember, the scale is a tool, not your taskmaster (or judge)...

Oh no! The scale really is the judge of me! LOL!

It didn't used to be, so that is where I need to get back to. I am getting better. I was weighing twice a day now I am down to twice a week. Much better!

So today, breakfast cottage cheese. Lunch egg salad and SF coleslaw. Dinner, bay scallops. Don't know why. Forgot I hated them last summer and went and bought them again. Blech!

I am on day one (again) of plan. Last night I wanted ice cream and held off. But I ended up eating pretzels. Not the worst cheat ever, but man, dumb!

And the worst was, I knew I wasn't hungry that I was lonely. So I recognized the reason but didn't seem to have the tools to get passed it. Well, one step in the process down. Will have to figure out what to do when I recognize the emotional eating instead of , well.....eating!
