Nicola, I think I know how you feel. I was on my own most of last week, and it was the busiest part of the month. I'd go home just wanting to sit and not do anything. It doesn't pay to make yourself indispensable - you get stuck doing all the work, and when you finally take time off, you have to come back to work and catch up all the work because no one else can figure out how to do your job!

Have a good Hump Day!

Nita, I hear you, and you are so right. There are so many jobs that only I know how to do, and one day real soon I have to start training someone to do them. They are getting to ready to rotate people into different jobs, but I found out today that I am staying put. That's OK, but I still need to train someone, because when I'm ready for PTO I don't care what is going on, I will take the time off reguardless of what is going on there.

Tom, I'm doing a little better today. Not as stressed anyways. That's good because I need to get some things done around here tonight. So I just need to stay off my couch and maybe I will get something done. Hope your day was better too.

I stayed out the cafeteria today, no telling what I may have eaten.

Have a good evening!

How's today for ya?
Does your cafeteria have food that you can eat? Usually they stock chef salads or such. The one at our downtown office does. Cost a whole bunch. Cheaper and better to go someplace offsite.
Have good one.

Yes Tom, this one actually has food you can eat. They are not cheap though. We just recently changed to a different company. The one we have now is the same as we have in another one of our buildings. They have something different everyday and even a fried food section for those wanting that sort of stuff. I don't go in there a lot because they always seem to have something that I really want but shouldn't eat. But I have been hearing that the food is really good, just not cheap.

My day today was so-so. The boss is back in action, today I just sat back and laughed because he was driving everyone else nuts too. I've never seen such a hyper man in my life. What I am finding is that when he starts you just have to give it right back to him, seems to shut him up and off he goes in another direction.

Today, I didn't eat any breakfast and no lunch, just didn't seem to have an urge for anything. Still not really hungry. That's probably a good thing, wouldn't hurt to fast for the rest of the day.

Have a good evening!

Not much up at the moment, just chilling. Had to work on Sat. and Sun I raked leaves, and leaves and more leaves. Felt like crap after that, so just sat around and watched TV.

I guess I should say that my BF t'd me off again, he is getting good at that. Was a bad girl, went and got some ice cream, my favorite, choclate chip cookie dough. Yep you guessed it, I ate every last bit of it. Good thing we worked things out, because who knows what else I would have eaten. Now I need to get back with the plan and behave myself. Can't afford to be doing stuff like that.

Have a good evening!

Remember the Serenity Prayer. It helps dealing with others.
I have a "Ponder Stone" in my pocket with the word ACCEPT printed on it. I reach in and touch it to remind me...

Take care.

Hmmm, Tom, if I carried a stone in my pocket, I'm afraid I'd be tempted to throw it at someone! I think a piece of paper would be a lot safer. LOL!

Nicola, don't fret the ice cream. We've all done it. When I'm away from home and eat carbs, like I did last weekend, I usually don't go all out and eat desserts, but I did Saturday night. And as good as it was, it wasn't all that good. I should have skipped it, but I wanted something, you know? And after that weekend splurge, it's been really, really hard to get back on track. I really think that the best thing to do is go zero carb for a day or 2, and just ignore all carbs until I get all that junk out of my system, and then gradually add some veggies in. Otherwise, I tend to go overboard. That's my plan, anyway.

I hope that the rest of your week is good.

Tom, yes I can relate to that. But I'm with Nita about the stone. Would have thrown in at something, I'm sure of that.

Nita, The only problem with that ice cream, I enjoyed every bite! So glad I came to my sences, before I went out and got another supply. Like you I know that I have to jump right back on the plan and what's done is done. But like you said, it's really hard sometimes to get back on track. I was thinking more like fasting for a couple of days, get rid of any and everything. But my Mom is coming this week so I have to wait until after tomorrow to do that, she always, and I mean always wants to go out to eat. And so I just humer her and go to where ever she wants to go. Hope this time it's somewhere I can behave myself.

So we're over the hump, hope the rest of the week is good for us all!

I did a Google on the ponder stone. Nothing. I guess it must be a really small business that developed them. Liz has one that says Beautiful and we got one for my son with Thankful on it. I'll have to stop in on my next trip to Tahoe for others.
I know how hard it is to behave when out with others. Especially those that don't understand LC.
Good luck with your visitor. You can do it!!

Tom, I guess I didn't do to bad. She wanted to go to the buffet. Didn't eat a whole lot, but I did have fried chicken. Didn't see much else that I wanted. So chicken and salad it was. I was hoping she would choose seafood. Oh well, there's always next time. Just maybe she'll let me choose.

Tomorrow is Friday, only have to work 8 hours. Don't know why that helps but it does. Sat I have to work but I can start at 5 and leave at noon. At least have the rest of the day off to do whatever. suits me.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Buffets can be either really hard for a low carber, or really easy, depending on what is available, what looks good, and what mood we're in. I usually do well at a buffet, fill my plate with good protein, add a little bit of veggie, and that will be sufficient.

Nicola, have a good weekend.

Nita, Buffets are really not a good idea for me, I only go there when my mother wants to go. I usually eat way to much, I am much better off when I order from a menu. But I just go along with whatever, my parents always insist on buying and if it's their dime then let them choose where we go.

Nita, you a good weekend too!

Las Vegas is the Buffet capitol. I can get just about anything I want for cheap. Not a good thing for someone that loves to eat.
I have me good days and my less than good days.

Tom, I've never been to Vegas, but I've heard there's some really good eating there. My ex use to rave about the place. The BF and I have talked about taking a vacation there, but we're too busy with other things right now to be going anywhere. Maybe someday.

Have a good evening!
