It is like going on a cruise with all the food available here.
I can get Crab Legs cheaper here than in the places that supply them to us. I can get AYCE Snow Crab Leg dinners for about $13. Some of the buffets have crab and shrimp as well. Oh yeah and Crawfish too. Mmmm. Dang I'm getting hungry. See what I mean.

    Have a great day!

Tom, Sounds pretty much like I've been told. And I love crab legs. Don't usually get them here unless I can find an all you can eat place. When my brother comes down for a visit we usually try to do that.

I think things are starting to calm down a bit at work, just hope that continues. They are moving the whole area around, its a real mess at the moment, like working in a construction zone. I hope all these changes they are making are all going to be for the better. I am keeping an open mind while everyone else is complaining constantly. It's not doing them any good though. They are determined to change the way we do business. Better to support them to be negative all the time. Well it's almost 3:30 am, gotta go get ready for work.

    Have a good day!

I'm with you, Nicola, if you can't change it, just go with the flow and don't complain. When we have major changes in our rules & regulations (it usually comes with change in administration, so with the new president, I suppose we'll get some major changes coming down the pike), we grumble and complain, but then knuckle down and learn the ropes, and just deal with it. No, we don't like it, but it won't change things to complain. It just gives you a headache and heartburn!

Happy Hump Day! Hope the rest of the week is smooth sailing!

Nita, Our company has this rotation system, and every 2 years if not before they change all the bosses and move them somewhere else within the company and the same with upper management. I just laugh and tell everyone that we change bosses almost as much as our underwear. Last year I had 3 boss changes and then again last month. Can't wait to see what this year will bring.

Hope the rest of your week goes well also!

I'd go crazy having to "train" a new boss every few months! And usually that's what happens, the rank & file have to show the boss the ropes. I suppose that if they change the bosses around, then if someone quits, retires or is fired, they have a pool of people who know that person's job and can step in without a lot of training. Thank goodness we have a tiny office and only one boss.

    Happy Monday!

There are times I think my crew would like to rotate thier boss. Over a big fire pit.
I'm NOT giving them that satisfaction.
If I may... What do you and your company do Nicola?
I work for a regional Water utility as a Supervisor for the Communications group.

Tom, Ah, another boss, hope you don't talk as much as mine does. I work for a defense contractor. With that said you can pretty much figure out what sort of work we do. I am a group lead, meaning that I lead, guide and instruct employees how to do their jobs, work through issues reading prints, processes, etc. When I'm not busy doing that then I am usually building something, doing repairs or ecn changes, and of course dealing with the boss.

Nita, You are right, the rank and file usually end up doing the training. Everytime I get a new boss, I try to make sure he or she knows everything I know, but if they want to be stubborn then I just back off and let them hit a brick wall, then they start asking questions. For the most part they pretty much leave me along except when they are pushing to get things out the door. Which right now we have so much work on the floor that everything's hot and everyone wants it yesterday. Guess that's why I work so much overtime. Sometimes I wish I worked in a smaller place, but I've got too many years in to start over now.

Hope you all have a good evening!

I'd hate to have to start a new job, I've been here since 1985, started out as a temp, then hired on part-time in 1987, went full-time in 1998. I think that when I get ready to retire, the boss needs to hire my replacement at least 6 months in advance. It will take that long to train them!

Hope your week has been good, and you have a great Hump Day!

Yes, I was pretty much lazy this weekend. After working yet another Sat, I just sat around and relaxed and did bunches of nothing. Now that I'm rested I am sure it will be a long, long week with loads to do.

Sometimes you just gotta "check out" for awhile. Been known to do that more than once in my life. With my back road over 1/2 hour drive each day I get a chance to decompress each day before arriving home. Helps keep my sanity. Well most of it anyways.

Last Monday I told my boss that it ought to be a quiet day, perhaps it would be a sane day. Nope, no such thing, there was absolute insanity for 2 days straight!

Nicola, TGIF, and hoping you have a nice, relaxing weekend, some time just for you.

Nita, I don't know when things will slow down at work. My boss had the day off yesterday. Vacation time for us! But he called twice, worried about stuff. So I guess he can't even rest himself on his days off. But it was a good day yesterday, today shoulld be good also, have to work, but onlyh 6 hours. Then I am going to Venice to see my Mother. Have some other relatives in town that I haven't seen in a while so it's time for a visit. Should be fun.

Tom, for a while there I though I was going to "check out", but not in a good way. Glad that I finally got that back together.

Hope you have a great weekend, enjoy!
