I kinda checked out for a while. Been really busy, seems I never have time to do anything anymore. Guess I need to just make time. I strayed away from the plan for a while, not good. The more I stray the more I eat, so I am trying to get back to LC and keep things under control. Wish me luck!

You've been off as long as I have. I hope all is well.

Hi Tom,

Your right, I've been off too long. Need to get back with the program. Seems like things just have been a mess, I mean everything. No excuses though, just need to get back with it. I am finally getting out of the overtime mode, so things should settle back down and I will have more time to help myself get over this slump. I hope all is well with you and everything is going smooth. Like you said you were off a long time too. I guess that happens to all of us.

Good luck to you Nicola.
BTW, I've had my journal moved to the Journaling section to put it out in the open for viewing by newcomers.

Had a good day today. Didn't eat anything that would throw me off track. I have been trying to eat light in the evenings when I get home. I feel much better when I don't stuff myself at dinner. Not as likely to sit on the couch and go to sleep. I also hope to get back in the exercise mode this week. I surely need to do that. I'm getting home a little earlier from here on in. They cut our hours so have to leave at 3:30. That's Ok though because I can use a break from all that overtime anyway.

Tom, thanks for letting me know that you moved your journal. Will try to keep in touch. If I start slacking off, you hollar at me, OK?

The 2 bad things about overtime are getting used to the income and then when it isn't there it hurts. The other is burnout.
We are shifting to 4-10's in july. It will mean early days for the summer. However, extra whole days to get things done at home.
Have a good one.

Hi Tom, I've tried hard not getting use to the extra income, but it did pay off when my central heat and air had to be replaced, I at least had the cash to pay for it. But the OT burnout has been here for a while now. But now they cut us back to 9 hour days, it feels like I have a bunch of free time. Feels great too! 4 10's sounds good too, knowing your getting an extra day off every week.

Enjoy your evening

Good morning Nicola. Stay on-track.
Remember with summer, we each need to increase our water intake.

Managed to have a good lc day. Surprising enough with that boss of mine still stessing out the whole department. But I kept things cool and even managed to get some work accomplished. And didn't have any cravings for chocolate. Now that's a good day when that doesn't happen.

Water! Now that is something I seem to always need to drink more of. I need to go out and stock up, usually keep a large supply here, especially in the summer months, in case of hurricanes. Once there is one out there you can't even hardly buy any in the stores. Like to keep well supplied so I don't have to worry about that. Have a good evening Tom.

Went to Venice yesterday to see my Mom and a niece who is visiting. We had a good time, went out to eat, didn't do bad. Did have a little bit of ice cream for dessert though. Today and tomorrow I am working around the house, getting things done. Need to get the grass mowed but it's too hot out there for now, will have to wait until later. It's been raining a lot this past week, so it's growing like crazy. The BF is bringing over steaks for dinner. Going to cook on the grill, then we are going to settle in and watch the Nascar race. Shouldn't do too much damage eating steaks, probably salad to go with.....off to do something.....

Sounds like you're doing well. I've had a couple slips too. Liz is steaming some Artichokes.
Enjoy the rest of your Holiday.

Well today wasn't the greatest day. A friend brought in a cake, I'm a sucker for good cake. So I had to have some. Oh well, shake it off and keep on trucking. We got our tickets today for the Daytona Nascar race in July. Can't wait to go....I look forward to this all year. Got really good seats too. Right across from the pits and not far from the start finish line and high enough to see the whole track. Now I just need to call and see if my Mom can babysit my little guy.

I hope you enjoy the races. I go as far away from here as I can when Nascar comes to town. It is a total ZOO.

Hi Tom, We go to the July race at Daytona because its not as bad as the 500 in Feb. Best thing to do is get a cab to the track, go get something to eat after the race and then hail another cab back to wherever you're staying. If not they park you way out in the boonies and bus you in, now that's a hassle. We really like going, but then we usually get there on Wed and stay through Sunday, that way we don't have the hassles driving through traffic coming and going, my BF's sister has a place there that is empty this time of year, so we can stay as long as we like, and enjoy other things while we're there. It works!

I've been fighting off cravings for 2 days now, about to drive me nuts. But trying to stay otherwise occupied to keep my mind off them......Have a nice weekend!

Sounds fun. I just hate dealing with the traffic.
Hang in there with the cravings. I was particularly bad yesterday.
