I know what you mean. We went to a pot-luck picnic last weekend. 1 person brought some chicken salad wraps. All the rest was pure junk food to the extreme. I mean donuts, cookies,PNB & J... We brought a coleslaw. It was just too funny. These youngsters all run off of sugar and caffeine. Yikes. We didn't eat much. Luckily we brought some diet soda for us.

You are so right about that, sugar and caffeine all day! But guess what? Someday they will be here where we are already... trying to control their weight and the cravings. Sooner or later it all catches up with you.

How's things going Nicola? I had a few non-LC bumps over the past few days. How about you?
Take care.

Hi Tom,

I had a couple lc bumps also. One was Sunday when my BF showed up with Hooters Wings. Now he knew I couldn't turn those down. So yes I caved and had some wings. And they were so very good. I enjoyed every bite. So I hope that when you caved that you had something that you really enjoyed eating.

And what is wrong with wings on LC? Did you eat fries with them? I eat wings all the time
I'm sure to ask for celery only. No carrot sticks.

The wings aren't bad but what about the flour coating they shake on the before they fry them? Didn't matter becauswe I ate 20 of them myself. And 10 on Monday for lunch. But no I didn't eat frys. One good thing is I am not a potato person so I don't miss not having them.

Oh they serve breaded wings. I've never had wings at Hooters. lol. I usually look for places that serve plain old unbreaded wings. There is nothing at all on them except the sauce which usually includes some margarine to help the sauce stick to the wings. I've even bought the big bags of them at Costco and fried them up myself.
As a matter of fact I'm headed out for wings and adult beverages (not very LC) at this time.

I have a friend that says you can order "naked wings" and they won't have the breading on them. I am going to have to try them the next time I go there. If I could just get the BF to enjoy them that way then we could have them a lot more often.

Hmmm. Here in Vegas I've only found a few that even had breaded version. They finally stopped doing it. All are "naked" Maybe it is a regional thing like the different types of BBQ. Have a great day!

Well tomorrow we go to Ohio for the a week. Hope to have a good time and not over due the eating thing. It is always a challenge. I've been pretty good the past few days. My mother is coming up tonight to take my little min pin home to babysit for a week so it looks like we are going out to eat. I think they want seafood so that should be a good thing for me. Anyway I am looking for some great times and not having to be at work will be just awesome. Been on overtime since last April and so time off is greatly needed.

Tom, I'm going to try those wings naked the next time. Hopefully they are just as good. Have a good holiday.

Just got back yesterday, as yes it was cold, at least the first 5 days.We had 6 plus inches of snow, loved every minute of that. But it was pretty cold most of the time, But it was a little warmer Thanksgiving and on Friday, still in the 30's though.

I ate too much and not the right things, now I have too regroup and get back with the program. Will probably be a rough week but I will be OK with that.

I got to see my new grandson. He is just as cute as can be and such a good baby. Love them, and leave them, sure glad I don't have to raise anymore.
