Hi Tom, That's something I really need to do, but just been so involved with other things I haven't had time for the gym, but I do have enough equipment here at home to surfice. Just need to use it more often. I'm doing fairly well on the LC. But I got sucked into making a fudge for the people at work. I can just see them all trying to sneak eating that all day when we are not allowed to have food at our desks. I will just put it in the break room and I'm sure they will all find it. I know for sure I am not going to keep any for home. Just way to dangerous to have anything like that here.

Hope you have a good workout.

Nicola, sometimes we have tenants, and sometimes people who use the community room during office hours, bring us goodies. I just look at it as poison, and let the others here have them. We have a jar here that sometimes gets filled with cookies - the lady who cleans the building at night brings them. I never go near them. We had one tenant who made us a batch of fresh Tollhouse cookies, brought them over in a big oatmeal box, and I opened the box and inhaled deeply. Boy, was I ever tempted then! But, my sanity returned. Yes, it's hard to resist when things are right under your nose. We expect the usual huge tin of popcorn from the guy who set up our retirement, and fruit from one of the banks, and popcorn from the other bank. 'Tis the season, as they say. Your best defense is to make sure you eat enough at your meals so you aren't hungry when you are tempted, and have your own legal snacks available.

Well Nita, that old furniture didn't fit in my spare room. It was just to big to get it down the hallway and through the door. So it's in the garage at the moment. I'm going to call tomorrow to see if anyone can come pick it up. Just as well, I can get a futon or something for the spare room.

    Hi Nicola.
If the futon is going to see real use, take the time and effort to find a strong one. We had one of the cheaper models and it just bent to crap in the middle. I considered putting a brace under there. By that time the damage was done. Those things are fine for young grandchildern visiting. Not very good for adults on a continual basis.
    Have a GREAT weekend!

You are probably right Tom, I don't know for sure what I want in there, but I know I can take my time and look around. Not in a big hurry, but I do have The Salvation Army coming out and get the old furniture tomorrow. Got the new stuff a little while ago, looks great, wish I would have gotten it a lot sooner. I have to laugh about the brace, when my kids where growing up I bought this real expensive furniture and my oldest son would plop down instead of sitting down, wasn't long before I had to build a 2 x 6 solid frame under it. After that he couldn't manage to damage it.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Yes Tom, I'm in here somewhere. Just been busy, running around trying to get things done. Tomorrow I have to run into work long enough to put my time in and do just a few things (probably for about 1/2 hour). After that I am out of there until the New Year. Then I will get my shopping done and be able to relax and do whatever! I so look forward to the year's end because I always know I get at least 2 weeks off.

I'm off an running this morning. Was at Walmart before 4am. Came home and got caught up on some stuff here, now I'm off to the mall. That ought to be fun......after that it's off to the BF's house to help get his Chistmas stuff done. Maybe tomorrow I can rest.

Walmart at 4am. Sounds familiar. When I was single, many eons ago, I would shop there in the middle of the night. Ours are 24hr stores. No lines. Just had to worry about tripping over the restocking pallets.
My wife, Liz, is meeting me after work to do some shopping. This should be quite the experience.
    Have a great week.

Yes, Walmart at 4am, and again this morning also. Here they are open 24 hours also, and I just hate it there during the day, the lines are just too long. You're right about those pallets though. You have to walk halfway around the store to find an isle that isn't blocked. I'm getting ready to go out shopping again also. I have one more present to buy and I'm done. Might as well get it over with.

Hope you have a good shopping trip and a good week.

Hi Tom, I can say finally that I'm done!!!!! I waited until 5 this morning before I ventured out, got home about 11. But I was very very very bad. It's Christmas so I decided to make some home-made kalua. I did use spenda though, along with the 100p vodka. I haven't had it in so long I just had to make some. I decided to try it out. I've had one drink, and woooooo.....don't dare have any more in the middle of the afternoon.....but I can say that's some darn good kalua., I used vanilla roast instant coffee instead of regular and it just gives it an awsome flavor. I even got some skim milk, and it taste good. Guess I need to share this or else I am going to remain tippsy until the New Year!... With that in mind I am going to give my best friend a call. Bye....Have a Good Evening!

Nicola, I find that when I do imbibe, it hits me like a ton of bricks. So all my drinking, on the rare occasion that I do drink, is always in the evening, close to bedtime, unless it's wine with a meal. We bought some rum to have with some Diet Rite cola, and I might just have a bit tonight.

    Enjoy!

Nita, You are wise about waiting till close to bedtime. I don't drink too much anymore, usually only around the holidays, I guess that's why I had a itch to have some this year. So here's to you and a wonderful holiday! Hope you enjoy the rum.

That's a good idea. I think a double shot of Tequila will finish off my night.
    Merry Christmas Nicola.
