Hi Tom,

Yes it's great to have a weekend off, it's been so long that I almost forgot what it is like to just do nothing or whatever. I ended up going Truck shopping with my
BF, he finally gave in and bought a new dodge ram, He needed one but hates the payments, but he got such a good deal he couldn't pass it up. Now maybe he can do some of the driving instead of me all the time!

We also went to Circuit City, I bought one of those mini laptops. Didn't want anything bigger, this ones perfect. At least I found one with a bigger hard drive and more memory than most. Just wanted something for when we go away I can get on the internet a little and check my mail or whatever. So while I was relaxing this weekend I had a new toy to play with.

It was cool here again today, 55 degrees, tomorrow it's suppose to be a little cooler, great for me, everyone else is freezing. Even my poor little , is in his bed buried under the covers..had to give him an extra blanket.

I need to try to get some exercise in tonight, think I will work on my abs and on my rock n roll stepper. First I need to go make something to eat.

Nicola, when we went to NYC we didn't see one single pickup truck! It's bizarre, because you see them all the time in the bigger cities here in Texas. Men just love their pickups!

That's funy because you would think that they would be everywhere with all that snow up there, especially 4WD's. My BF is a truck mechanic by trade so he needs one to haul all his tools, etc. And here in Florida you would think there wouldn't be so many but our parking lot at work is just full of them. I almost bought one myself this year but opted for something easier on gas.

In Las Vegas, we have Trucks & SUV's coming out of our ears. Most of them are 4x4 with wheels and tires that will never see a dirt road. Funny as heck.

We have a town full of tiny, petite women who drive those huge Suburbans or Hummers. They drive them to work, the thing sits in the parking lot most of the day. And our town is tiny, so it's not as though they are driving for miles & miles to work, maybe 5 tops. It's funny to see these tiny women behind the wheel of those big vehicles! I seldom see a big man or a big family in one!

I kinda like those big trucks, like the idea of being up off the ground. I use to have a 4WD Tacoma, but I gave it up in my divorce, I had always promised that I would let him have it when I was ready for a new vehicle, so I kept my promise even though I am kicking myself for it now. I liked having it when I went North in the winters. Never had to worry about getting stranded because of the weather.

Well just when I thought working Saturdays was not happening anymore my new boss decides that he wants us working all day, but I don't think the crew he has will agree to come in for the entire day. Guess we'll find out tomorrow when he has his morning meeting.

Well it's cool here again today. And I was wanting to cook on the grill, what the heck I am going to do it anyway. Just put it in the garage and leave the door open when I use it.

Nicola, Texans grill all year round. Hot or cold. It's just the way they are. I prefer to cook in the kitchen, out of the heat and cold. I'm not a native Texan, so I guess that's why!

Basicly Floridians are the same way. Grill any time, any weather. I like grill whenever the mood suites me.

I've been feeling a bit under the weather, but dealing with it. Last night I came home from work, tried to get some exercise in but after spending 15 minutes doing step aroebics, I was so congested that I gave up, laid on the couch and that was the end of the evening. Hopefully tonight goes a little better.

Drink lots of liquids, Nicola. And those nose strips do work to open up your nasal passages so you can breathe better. Buy the name brand, not the cheapo ones, they work better.

Nita, I have never tried the nose strips, guess I need to do that, I've tried everything else. I feel a little better today, but will find out as soon as the sun sets, that's when my sinus's usually start acting up. It sure doesn't help with all this up and down weather we're having.

Tom, I used to use my grill just about everyday, but now since it's just me to cook for I don't use it as much. On the weekends I usually cook dinner for the BF, then I get to grilling, depending on what he wants. During the week, I just fix whatever is easy with no fuss.

I've never used the nose strips for sleeping. I have used them when off-road riding. Great for keeping my nose open with goggles on. This bug is taking some time to go away huh. Hang in there Nicola.

Tom, I will probably be fighting this until the weather settles down. I can honestly say that it's not as bad as some years, I haven't had to go to the doctor, seem to be keeping it under control. I don't like going unless I have too. I don't like taking pills to get better if I can fight it off myself. I was thinking about making a big ole batch of homemade beef veggie soup. Maybe I can plan for that tomorrow when I get off work. Yum!

Tom, I sure did make up that soup, was delicious, is till delicious, I even froze some. It chilled out here for the next few days, so I am so glad I made a big pot. I did get to relax Sat evening but Sunday I went to the BF's and cooked dinner for us and his sister and her husband. So I was buzy most of the day.

This cold is doing a little better, at least I seem to be feeling a little better the past couple of days. But there are sure a lot of people out at work, so it's just like one big visious circle, catch it and then give it away!
