    Hi Tom,

    Congrats on conquering that milestone.

Hope all works out with the new introductions. Basset Hounds are pretty mellow, aren't they?

Things work out for a reason...
We are not getting the 2 hounds. The owners wanted them to go into a home that did not already have established dogs. That works out for me. It was right after I passed it on to Liz that I remembered, 3 dog limit in the city limits. We got 2 now.

I'm still well below my milestone this morning. My next target is 240.
Dinner last night was steak & salad
BF- 3 BF sausages and about 3 ounces of Artichoke/jalapeno dip
Lunch- 2 hot dogs & a cup of spaghetti squash.
Just got done compiling a report on my "high Maintenance" employee. Pages & pages & pages. I would think that in these economic times a person would be grateful to have a job and put some effort into it.

I have packing up tonight & tomorrow for my trip this weekend. Plenty to do.

    See ya...

    Tom

Tom, We have a lot of really "high maintance employees" where I work. It is unbelievable sometimes at how they seem to feel that they are owed a job and don't have to work for it. It just amazes me the things they get away with and the and even more amazing that the company lets it happen.

We have one high maintenance employee in maintenance, but we keep him because he's honest, and his inability to learn is probably due to a head injury he had before he came to work for us. We have to have honest workers who can be trusted to go into apartments. I'm thankful for my job every day, and try to do more than I'm expected. Actually, it would be hard to replace me, since I've been doing this job for 24 years.

Tom, I used to do housecleaning before I got this job, and one of the families had a Bassett Hound puppy that kept getting under my feet. I don't know how many times I stepped on the poor things ears! They are cute critters, though. I hope they find a good home.

    What a day. Whew.
It started with me attempting to ride my bike to work. Dead battery. Then blew the main fuse trying to jump start it.
Liz met me for lunch. It was lite. However, not LC. 2 tacos & 1 bean & cheese burito. All small.
I get back to my office and get a call from Liz. She went to Walmart and came out. Her car was gone. She found it on the far side of the parking lot with the local cops and the security guards with a guy in custody. She had been talking with the guard when she arrived about her "Ham" license plates. He later noticed the car being driven by a black man. That's not right! So the guard calls the cops and stops the car.
No damage to the car at all. The thief had special keys that got past the immobilizer stuff. So now that I know that stuff is crap, I'll be installing a fuel kill switch. It will be up to Liz to remember to use it.
I already have kill switches on our 2 sports cars. I'll be doing my new truck as well. Got to figure out a good stealth location for the switches.

Liz is cooking up pork chops for dinner with some sautted mushrooms & some fried peppers & onions.
I've got plenty to keep my busy tonight.
Get my bike running and on a charger
Get the trailer finished loading and pack my stuff for the trip
Hook up the trailer so I can leave for work easy in the morning
Look at the kill options for Liz car.

    Dang, I'm tired already.

    See ya.

    Tom,

Yeah they will sell us anything if they think we will buy it. Just glad your wife is OK and that she got the car back in one piece. Very good to hear that someone was paying attention to what was going on.

We looked at her car and haven't figured a good hiding spot for the switch yet. I'll be doing it next week. I'm doing my truck then also.
This morning was quite interesting. I guess somebody must've pissed off the Park Rangers. There were 7 of them out this morning with radar. I'm driving the truck w my trailer, so no speeding for me. They got one of my friends. Over $200 for that ticket. I'm glad I blew that fuse on the bike yesterday. They were out with radar in the afternoon. I have a rough time going that slow on the bike. Being in the car, I was on cruise set just right at 50.

I weighed in this morning. I'm now down 13 pounds since New Years Day. Now that my weight loss is becoming more dynamic, it is just a matter of keeping the momentum going.

I had egg salad for BF.

    See ya next week.
    Have a Wonderful Weekend!!!

    Tom,

Congrats on that 13 lbs lost.

I think we will see a lot more tickets being handed out this year. They got to get their money shortages from somewhere. I know Florida raised all its fines, unbeliveable. Makes one pay a little more attention. I use cruise whenever I can, cause I'm a little speed demon if I don't.

    Have a good weekend!

We had a fun WET weekend. It rained most of the weekend and it is still raining here. The race was good. I helped out with a car that crashed just before our checkpoint. The co-driver was flown out with lower back injury. The car was totaled. Later in the day the medical people were handling all the distress calls from broken down cars. These things don't have heaters. They would work anyway with a broke motor. The drivers were suffering from Hypothermia.
With all the rain our eating was reserved to snacks that we could eat in the truck.

I drove Liz's car in today. It is time for annual smog check. Need to drive it to warm things up and clean out the pipes. I'll smog test in on the way home.

    How was everybody elses weekend??

Tom, I'm glad you had fun even though it was wet, we sure didn't have any rain here, it was nice about 74 degrees and a good weekend to to yard work. I wish it could stay like this all year round. Other then yardwork, I had a pretty quiet weekend, spent some time with the BF and just relaxed.

Nice fun outing with Liz for dinenr last night. It was 2 for 1 Cheeseburgers at one of our hangouts. Also each got a Stout Ale. Not a very LC night. Fun though.
Today is a quiet day at work. I'm headed to the dentist this afternoon to get my permanent crown. Tonights dinner should be Tuna steak.

Time to dump my coffee and switch over to tea.
    Have a great day!

Just saw those pics of the Bassett Hounds. They are gorgeous. Is that what you have already? I had one when I was a kid and my ds has one now. They have got to be the most lovable dogs.

Used to have 3 of them. Hmmm, we still do have them. They are all in little wooden boxes in our hutch. Liz isn't ready to let them go. Been many years. Those 2 still haven't found a new home. Too bad. The owners contacted Liz and asked if they couldn't find a new home, would we still take them. NO! She was pissed. Told them, there was no more loving home for them than ours. Choose now or never. I guess the answer was never. Liz wasn't going to be second string to anybody.

If it was put that way to me I'd be pissed too. Poor puppies need a home though. I'm a big softie when it comes to critters.
