No word back on my truck. I'll check in again on Monday. I will start reminding them of the our Lemon law. If a vehicle sits in the repair shop for 30 days waiting for warranty work to be done, LEMON. Refund. The thing is I love my truck. I just want them to get off the fence and fix it.

I have to repair Liz's Maytag Front Loader Washer. I guess they got tired of having bored repairmen so they designed in some defects. I'm supposed to replace the entire tub assembly. However, thanks to the internet I found I can do the bearings myself. This thing sound light a tank rumbling thru the garage when it spins.
I've got a heater in the garage to get it up to something a little more comfortable. If it stay cool, I'll dig out my 45,000 BTU Propane heater.
That'll warm it up in minutes.

Liz made a Chicken with mushroom soup recipe last night. It had rice in it. Surely not LC. Dam, it was good. Been years for that dish.

I've got Liz convinced to join me for a 2-up ride tomorrow for breakfast and a ride out to a small town when my M/C racing association is holding a race. We'll go support my club riders.
I've got to be back by 3pm. I'm meeting my PLD Coach at the gym @ 4pm. PLD was the 90 day "game of life" I did in late 2007. I recently found out that he had been my dentist some 17 years ago. I later switched over to the one I have now.
I hope everybody has a Wonderful Weekend.

Had a great weekend!
Sunday we did about a 130 mile ride around town. We spent about an hour at the races. It was getting to Liz being around all those people smoking. She has quit about a month ago. Still having issues.

I had a good workout last night with my friend. We are looking on making this a regular thing. I'm hoping he can join me at my usual gym next time.

I'll be calling the dealer again to see the status of my truck. This will include discussion about a rental. I really don't need a car. However in 2 weeks I have a race to go to as a checkpoint. I will let him know that whatever car they give me will be run in places they really don't want it to. That is what my truck is for. Hmmm, maybe they should just get mine fixed and back for me to use. Ya think?

It was raining today, so no bike ride to work. Liz is meeting me at Costco after work. There goes a cool couple hundred bucks.

Tm, I think they should have given you a truck to use while yours is in the shop. After all it's not your fault the motor was defective. I would ask, never know. If they had done that in the first place you would probably have yours back by now.

Still getting the non-answer on my truck.

I had burger patties and leftover spaghetti squash for lunch. Liz pulled out some Salmon for dinner.
It will be a nice ride home today.
I have to stop at the Credit Union. Something about a security breach on the Visa card system for them. Getting a replacement ATM card.

Tom, I would hope they would tell you something soon. Maybe you should talk to someone higher up.

Seems like they are all over those credit cards lately. Good the credit union caught it, never know these days.

Have a great day!

After the Credit Union, I stopped by the Dealership.
I decided it was time to put faces to names, for both of us. Very interesting thing...
The guy tells me "We just heard back from the Engineers." Hmmm, Go Figure!
They got the go-ahead to replace the bad parts and fire the truck up to see if the motor is OK or not. So by the end of today I should know if I'm bringing my truck home or they are replacing the motor. Either way I should have my truck back by the weekend.
I got to ride in again today. Nice weather.
Liz made Salmon & green beans for dinner last night.
I ate a banana at home and then a couple italian sausages for breakfast.
Lunch is set to be chicken & salad.
Time for some hot green tea.
Have great day.

Tom, Dan's debit card was compromised also, about a month or so ago. Mine was ok. And my boss and her son also had to have their cards replaced. The bank called us individually and told us they'd canceled the cards and were issuing new ones.

Since Dan got his scooter last June, he's only had about 2 or 3 days that he couldn't ride to work. Right now we're getting highs in the upper 80s, all week, until Saturday. Our gasoline bill sure is lower due to his riding the scooter!

Enjoy the tea.

Tom, Well it's good you found out something, can't believe they've just now approved it though. But I know I work with a lot of engineer's and most have to over analize everything before they can make a decision of any kind.

Have a good evening!

The saga continues...
So I pick up the truck Wednesday night. Looking at the invoice. All Warranty. Several lines stand out to me. One is for 3 gallons of oil. (big truck) and the other is for World Class Service Inspection. Suuuuure. I noticed the same oil filter I had put on before. Hmmm. Who does an oil change and NOT change the filter? I check the oil Yesterday morning. It up to level OK. However, same oil that I had in there. Not new. Then I check the radiator fluid. Way low. I top it off. I get to our downtown offices for training and then check the fluid again at lunch. Low again. So I call the dealer and give them a heads up of possible issues. I went to Walmart bought fluid and filled it up again. Then at the end of the day it took even more fluid. Now nearly a 1/2 Gallon of coolant. That ain't right!
So
Liz meets me at the dealer. I drop it off for them to resolve the issue. I feel there is a leak in the cooling system. I get to talk to the tech. 1st he say the oil charge is the standard charge for any oil put in. He SAYS he topped it off. BS! They were gouging Chrysler for the money. Then he feeds me some crap about since the system was run dry there could be air pockets in the system that need to be burped out. Yeah, OK. What the Hell is World Class inspection for. That should have been resolved BEFORE they gave it back to the customer. After this I may be taking to a different dealer for future work.

OK now for work. I had a great training yesterday on Building Trust in the Workplace. Good subject. Not sure how to use these tools with my group yet.

Today was our plant employee meeting. My Director has no idea how to give a positive presentation. He was all doom & gloom. He was most happy showing all kinds of charts and graphs about how broke we are. He loves statistics.

We had shrimp scampi and endemine pods for dinner. Today was leftover chicken for BF. We have eaten at home 3 of the last 4 days. That's a record.
Not sure that will be kept going tonight.
Have a Great Weekend!!!

When you mentioned Building Trust in the Workplace, it reminded me of the Geico commercial where to guy tells the gecko that they are going to do a trust exercise where he'll fall and the gecko has to catch him. I always chuckle at that one.

I don't blame you for changing dealers for service. When you get a good one, you tend to stick with them, regardless of cost if it's not warranty work. Cars are too expensive to not get good quality care, ya know?

Have a great weekend,

I have only one mechanic I trust on my vehicles. His name is TOM. You might know him he hangs out on this board.

We did do an exercise. Not the trust fall though. I've done trust fall on steroids exercises at camp. Not for the faint of heart.

Tom, Why don't you call Chrysler and talk to someone about that dealership. If that dealership isn't doing what it is charging them for then I would think that they would want to be informed. I've dealt with dealerships like this before, never to return to again, but have been sorry I never reported it. Won't happen again. Just a thought, incase you run into any more problems.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Nicola, I think that may be upcoming. However, at this time my energy is focused on getting my truck back and in good working order. Then I can deal with other stuff. They pretty much have my truck hostage. they don't really know it. There is one thing going for me. If they mess around for 2 more weeks, I get to file under our Lemon Law. THEY will then own my truck. I'll be getting a new one.
