Had quite a productive weekend. Liz had her car gone thru at the dealer for some recalls. They also did an inspection that kept me busy for Sunday. New brakes, fluch the fluids, new air filter wiper blades. This morning she took the car in for new tires. $520 worth.
I got some riding in this weekend. Nice weather.
Liz was in Beffet mood this weekend. Not a good thing for tom. We found a Seafood buffet Saturday night. I sure got my fill of crab, shrimp and Oysters.
Then last night she wanted the Chinese Buffet. This is the one with great sushi.

No word yet on my truck. I'll give them a call this afternoon.

I could do a seafood buffet, but not chinese. Just too much to tempt me, I'd fall off the lc wagon, and get run over in the process! But seafood, ah, yes! Sounds lovely!

I wish I could find a seafood buffet. Give me all the shrimp and crab legs I can eat and I would be one happy camper. You think living in Florida they would have something like that here, but I sure don't know where.

Wow. It's been a week since my last post. I've been busy busy busy. I got the truck back. It runs great. I broke her in this weekend. I dropped the nose off a 4' ledge. Liz was NOT happy. She was climbing out the window to hold it down. Or so she thought. I have friends who took pics then pulled me off the ledge. My rear wheel was over 4' off the ground. Quite the sight. The step tube on my side gave up it's life to save the rest of the truck. I'm searching for replacements this week.

Eating has been up and down this week. Yesterday at Costco I thougth about buying new jeans. The next size up. I put them back. I figure if I got them larger, I would just fill them in. The idea is to make the present size jeans fit loose.

Today it TJ's 24th Birthday. Liz has him out shoppng for some new clothes. We are taking him out for dinner when I get home.
I have this feeling he is gonna want to go someplace that will have these little voice telling me to eat things I shouldn't.

Glad to hear you got the tuck back and it's in good running order. I guess you had to put it to the test, that's what you men do. Liz might have been upset but I am sure she was not surprised.

Ah, truck woes! We had to take ours in for some gizmo to be replaced, something else with the ac unit has to be fixed, about $250, and it has an oil leak, not bad, but it'll cost about $300 to fix that. The thing is 12 years old or so, we don't owe anything on it, so putting a little into it to keep it going is probably sensible, it's just that it always happens all at once! Right now it sits in the carport most of the time, since Dan uses his scooter when he can to go to work, or run errands. But when you need to haul something, there ain't nuthin' like a good ole pickup truck!

Here's to getting into the jeans we now own, without struggling!

I was able to pick up a replacement set of step tubes off Craigslist. Gotta love that site for shopping for strange stuff. Now I'll have an extra tube for future insurance.
We took TJ out for dinner last night. His 24th Birthday. He spent the day with Liz. She took him shopping for clothes and stuff. By the end of the day she was pooped out. Just being around my son is a drain. Poor Liz.
I ate leftovers from dinner last night. NOT LC. It was a small portion at least.
Time to get moving... The jeans are still snug.

Now that you have insurance Tom, you will probably never need it. Isn't that the way it goes? Love the pics, from the looks of the one, much more and you may have rolled it. Glad that didn't happen.

All is well with the truck and Liz.
Spent pretty much the weekend on my bike. Liz was sick Saturday. I made a trip to Fry's (Expensive) and then met up with my Adventure group for a BBQ.
She felt better Sunday and road with me back to Fry's again and then some other places. She loves Harbor Freight as much as I do. Good thing we were on the bike. Limits the carry ability. Thus limiting spending.

Today is Liz Birthday. I bought her the DVD set full series "Charmed." She's happy. Today we are going to see Watchmen and then go out after for dinner.
I haven't been near the scale in a couple weeks. The pants are still fitting OK.

Been awhile. I was sick for quite awhile. Missed some work and just stayed in bed. Been at work the last couple days. Liz had a short bout with the bug as well. A real nasty one.
I hate that Nyquill has been downgraded to being pretty worthless now. I used to take a double dose at night on the first signs of sickness. It would knock me out and I would sleep thru til morning. I'd get up ad be ready to roll. The new stuff is crap! I think it is the Sudefed that is missing. Might just have to buys some of that stuff from the pharmacy to keep around and supplement to Nyquil with.

I've just accepted a position as a moderator on my diesel truck forum. There is a lot of passion with all these redneck truck people. They need all the level heads they can get to calm discussions down BEFORE they get out of hand. I was honored they offered to me. I'm already a mod on my sports car board.

I'm hoping to get out for a long bike ride on Sunday. Some guys are meeting up to ride about 150 miles one way to get a hamburger for lunch at a little railroad town. It looks to be fun. i've got to put my knobbie wheels on the bike. At least this will be some exercise. I haven't been as active as I would like. Need to get warmed up some. We are doing a weekend trip to a Ghost Town near Death Valley, next month.

Hi Tom, How's it going? I've been away for a while myself. Just busy it seems all the time anymore and when I get home, it seems there's always something to do. Hope all is well with you and Liz and hope you're feeling better.

As you can see I haven't been in here in awhile. I wish I could say I've been doing well on LC. I just have been going in all directions in a number of facets in my life. I've been off-roading. I've been busy with my new resposibilities on the truck forum. Still helping Liz get used to her little boy out of the house.
I haven't looked at the scale lately. I can say my pants are fitting OK. Maybe a little looser than before. At least that is good.
