Popping in for a visit. I've been very free with my eating this last few months. I've paid a price for it. I've nearly gained back all that I lost from going LC many years ago. I restarted Induction on Monday and have seen a 6 pound loss so far. I've eaten so much chicken, I think I'll be growing feathers soon.
I REFUSE to buy larger clothes! I'm not going down that path again.

There's been quite a bit going on in my life.
Been very busy with activities involving my bikes, work & family.
Liz & I joined our dualsport bike group on a weekend trip to a little ghost town near Death Valley. Had a great time. I've been riding my bike to work and off-roading quite a bit lately too. I'm now the VP for my M/C club and am the course director for our next race.
We hosted our national Car meet again 2 weeks ago. Had 43 cars come from all over. One couple came from Ontario CA. Long journey for them. They got eh Hard-Luck award for losing thier keys on the way here. Little did we know it was only the beginning. On the return trip, somewhere in N Dakota they broke an axle. We were all on the phones with then and finding other del Sol enthusiasts to help them in the area. That is one big state with nothing in it.
They got it all repaired and got home over a week later.
My boy is still out of the house. He's surviving on his own. Someday he may decide that isn't enough and get motivated to go further.
We are start a 4-10 workweek in July. One of many cost-cutting measures. The District is laying off all temporary and intern workers. Contractors are being let go as well. In order to save full-time employees they've implemented a "Resource-sharing" plan where people from slow areas can work in other areas to keep a job.

My group is doing well. My cranky member was on temporary assignment to another group to give him a break from us. Funny... "Wherever you go, There you are." He wasn't happy there either. Go figure.
When he came back he requested to be more involved with real work. OK,yesterday I assign him to help on a simple (to most) power wiring change job. He got himself so flustered and worked up, he called in sick today. Again, Go Figure. I sure hope he is learning something out of these experiences. I'm told you CAN teach an old Dog new tricks. I'm having trouble getting this one to remember the old tricks.

Well off to the real word...
Thanks for listening.
Have a Wonderful weekend!

I'm with you Tom, I refuse to buy larger clothes no matter what. Guess that will encourage me to get back with it. Going to start fresh tomorrow. Wish me luck!

It's Monday!!!
Been on induction for 1 week. My only non-LC intake was a Stout Micro-Brew Ale last night. All else has been Induction based. Salads, chicken, eggs etc etc.
I'm down 7 pounds for the 1 week.
Feeling pretty good.
My activity level is picking up. I've started a remodel of my office. Small jobs have a way of expanding in my life. With the upcoming 3-day weekend I should be able to do all that I want in the room and move back in next week. I'm replacing a wall, a closet, texture the wall & reshoot the ceiling. Paint, Carpet.
I looking forward to what my vision is for the room.
After I get done with this it will be time to get into mechanic mode. I'll be restoring my daughters del Sol. She bought my son's a few months back. I'll be undoing all of what he did to the car. I'm also installing my old motor & trans to be sure I know what is under the hood.
It is easy to control my eating when I busy busy busy.

Tom, if it were only that simple to stay busy all the time to keep from eating. I just need to have some of that will-power that I had 20 years ago. Would kick this diet in the a.. and not have any problems doing so.

Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned too. I have 4 days off and I think I am going to do a lot of work in my garage. I finally put a new doggie door out the side door so my little guy could get outside. Now I have to redo the garage floor and finish up my insulation out there. When you own a home there is just always work to be done. Never seems to end.

Have a good evening.

Got 90% of the stuff out of the office. Tore out the closet inners. Tonight I will be taking the TV mount off the wall and cutting out the piece of wallboard to be replaced. Should get to HD to pick up supplies as well.
Last night's dinner was very creative. Simple, quick.
chicken leg & thigh
2 asparagus stalks
1/2 avacado
1 pepperoni stick
Dessert was 3 large strawberries
I find I'm thinking about food more than I was before. Part of my ADD in action.

Stil making progress on my office. Popcorn all stripped off the ceiling. The wall torn out. Liz joined me in picking up the wallboard and supplies to replace the wall. We stopped at a Chinese Buffet for dinner. I stayed pretty much LC. Dunno what additives were on the foods though. I did a little more than usual. Typical for a buffet dinner. I specifically avoided the scale this morning. I'm pretty sure I'm carry some extra baggage. This too shall pass.
Liz is making Ham Hocks & Lima Beans for dinner. Cyndi & Eric are joining us for dinner. Might just enlist some help to hang this sheetrock.
Just finished 2 HB eggs for BF.
Lunch is still up in the air. It should be chicked & ceasar salad.
See ya!

Don't know if I could eat, just 3 strawberries, guess that's why I usually don't buy any and I just stay away from buffets. (just gets me into to much trouble)

Sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished on the room. Good for you! It will be done before you know it and you'll be on to other things

Hahaha. These were pretty big strawberries.
I had to make return trip to HD and get the sheetrock replaced with the smaller size. OOPS. I was able to get it installed and that was all last night. Tonight will be taping & mudding the wall and any holes in rest of the room. By tomorrow I can sand then shoot the texture. I'll wait until Saturday night to paint the primer. I want to give the texture & mud time to dry. Then Sunday morning the room painting. Monday I should be able to install the carpet.
Oh, it sure sounds like I have a good plan. We'll see how this all works out.

Liz made Ham Hocks and Lima beans for dinner. I had 1 bowl of limas, salad, some asparagus spears and a couple ham hocks.
I've asked Liz to make up some regular tea to limit the tea with sf sweetners I'm drinking. Yes, I know more water less other stuff.

Off to the races.

Painting, now that sounds like something I need to do. I was thinking that it was time to redo all the walls in my house. Don't know if I have enough energy for that yet though, not even sure my allergies can handle it. Will have to ponder on that for a while longer. Hope that you get your project done over the long weekend. Will feel good I know when everyting comes together and you have the end result to look at.

Plans for the weekend are shifting some.
I'm attempting to contact my son. Offering for him to spend the weekend with us, earn some cash by helping me with the remodel and other work. Then on Monday we'll get out for a good bike ride. It looks like I'm now leading a ride for my dualsport group. I'm looking forward to it.
It will have to be a really early start. By 9am it will be over 100 degrees in the area.
I had a road bump this morning for breakfast. Somebody brought in breakfast burritos. I had one. So my carb intake today is a little off.

I wish all a great Memorial Day weekend.
Remember all those Men & Women that gave their lives to give us the freedoms we hold so dear.

I'm the first one up. Having some coffe before getting started on todays activities.
We brought my son over for the weekend. Gives him a roof for a few days, helps get things done and we'll pay him some too.
Considering letting him stay thru next week. Plenty to do around here.

I got hte room textured yesterday. Waiting until later today to paint the primer. I wnat that stuff fully dry. TJ & I cleaned the side of the house and made a trip to the dump.
I put my exercise bike and rowing machine out on the curb. I'm curious to see how long they sit there.
Tomorrow I'm leading a group on about a 60 mile off-road trip. This is my playground. Most of them have never been there.
We have to be ready to ride at 6am. That means getting up at 3:30. We'll load up tonight.

I had a little slip off the LC wagon yesterday. Took TJ to a Chinese buffet while out. They has Sushi. I had a few pieces. I figure with my incresed activity this weekend shouldn't be much of an issue.

Liz is gonna make breakfast for us today. Took out some bacon to thaw last night.

Time to get the rest of the house up and moving.

I'm pooped. I've been moving from one office to another at work. I've been in that office for 15 years. Man did I accumulate a bunch of stuff. I'm Simplying my stuff during the move. I figure all the HR books from training I went to many years ago should go to the recycle bin.

We had a blast on the trail ride. These guys are not used to this kind of riding. They did great. Memorial Day in Bitter Springs - my2wheels.com
TJ is spending this week with us. He has been a great help. Cleaned up the back yard. He's been doing some painting for me. We should be able to lay the carpet tomorrow night. I'm too tired to do it tonight. Gonna take Liz & TJ out for dinner. Figure I'll crash when we get home.
I wasn't pure LC over the weekend. Still doing pretty well. Keeping to about 90% LC. My choice.

See ya...

Moved into the new office. Now I'm taking my time and eliminating stuff that I don't want to bring over from my old office. I've been in that office for about 15 years and I've been with the District for near 27 years. That makes for quite some pile of notebooks and other documentation from training and meetings. I've already 1/2 filled a huge Recycle dumper.
My home office remodel is coming along. TJ & Liz got the room painted yesterday. We installed the ceiling fan, window blinds etc. Tonight will be the carpet and time permitting the closet.
Eating...
Well last night wasn't very LC. We went out for a nice Stout Beer and some AYCE fried shrimp. I did peel quite a bit of the breading off the shrimp. Some osf that stuff is sneaky and gets thru.

Time to get back into the room clearing...
