Can't believe October is here already!
Yesterday had a boiled egg for B. Salad with steak for lunch and grapes with a light beer for dinner. Weird dinner I know but they had this big meeting at work with all of these grapes left over and they said to take them so I did. Once I started eating them I thought, well, let's make this dinner. Then, my brother came up from DC and bought some light beer so I had one of those and called it a night.

Today so far, I've had a scrambled egg and turkey sandwich on 7 grain pepperidge farm flat bread for breakfast and I'm not really hungry for lunch. This evening I plan to do my own version of the workouts the trainer puts me through without having all of his equipment. I do have free weights and a rowing machine but no exercise balls or bands or the other equipment he has. Probably not going to walk today so hopefully this workout will suffice. Feel like I want to move everyday now. Who'ddathunkit???

Dinner tonight......mmmmm...I dunno maybe cat fish nuggets with homemade tarter sauce and some cabbage. Will have to see how I feel by then.

Dinner last night ended up being chicken salad and some cabbage and then again chicken salad for B, L and Dinner today. Was busy all day with homework so just kept eating at the bowl I made last night. I wanted to get rid of the last of the chicken that I had cooked last Saturday night and ate most of last week.

If I roast a whole chicken, (especially Purdue withe the big healthy breast) it tends to last me for a week or more of lunches and some dinners as well and then making chicken salad is a great way to use of the last of it.

Can't wait until Columbus day 10/12 as I am off that Monday; in that Tuesday, and then off again for the rest of that whole week for my birthday...I contemplated going to NC to house hunt using my frequent flier miles that expire end of this year but haven't done a thing to get tix so I guess I'll be home for my b-day unless I decide to do somehing at the last minute. For the last 25 years I have not worked on the day of my birthday and for the last 10 years I have taken vaca during my birthday week. Yes, I consider my b-day and b-day week a personal holiday for me! :If I had my way everyone I know would be off work to help me celebrate. LOL!!!

Tomorrow I am taking for lunch.....(yes, again) the end of the chickn salad. :-) Going to put out some salmon now to defrost for dinner tomorrow. So much of sticking to any new way of eating is planning, planning and more planning. It sometimes makes me feel like I am thinking of food constantly. :-)

Hey Sandi, Thinking of moving to NC in about 6-8 years but with houses so reasonable now thinking of purchasing a house now and renting it out until I move. Looking in the are around Wake Forrest/Raleigh.

Yesterday and today were busy, on a roller coaster with school and work and although I am often tired I can't seem to get to bed before 11:00pm. Yesterday took my mom to the neurologist after work and all is well with her. I am very happy about that.
Yesterday,ate:

B - nothing and was starving by lunchtime.
L- chicken salad
D - chicken salad on deli thins flat bread (14 carbs)

Today

B-again nothing...was light-headed by lunch and think it was low blood sugar, posssibly. Either that or I am coming down with something.
L - Salmon I put out for dinner yesterday but didn't eat, on top of salad
D - roast chicken and cabbage

Went to the trainer's today and we did a new set of exercises. I really lke going and asked him for a discount to sign up for 5 more months. I am already half way thoroug my 10 sessions and am not ready to leave!!

Lost another half pound!! G'night...getting sleepy finally.

You are doing good but you really shouldn't skip breakfast. Atkins reccomends not going more than 6 waking hours without eating.

Hi Libby, you are so right and I know I have to stop doing that. Tioday I took an Atikins breakfast bar and ate it onthe way to work. Forgot how good they are.

B - Atkins bar
Lunch - chicken soup I made myself a few weeks ago and had put in the freezer.
D - Roast chicken and cabbage
Extra - a drink of vodka and LC cranberry juice. My new boss and I had it out and I did not win the debate....dunno why I thought I could. I am on the verge of losing my job due to a "defensive/confrontational attitude" I'll admit I am defensive as I am often feeling under attack...I'm human, what can I say?? Very difficult for me to not feel defensive in the current work environment.

Gotta run, have more homework to send to out tonight that is due tomorrow...would like to get it in at least a day early. Last assignment I was the first to send my homework in...not this time. :-(

I was car shopping but think I should give up the hunt now that I am possibly on the chopping block.

Thanks Sandi, you're a doll. I try not to define myself by work but it all I know; having no kids and not being married I am the consummate career woman...so what am I without a career??? I have already decided that if I am let go I am going to go to school full-time instead of part-time and try to get some kind of part-time job. I can't let it get me down as there are thousands of unemployed folks these days and I've been blessed to still have a job. There is definitely a personality conflict between me and my boss and conventional wisdom says I should just keep my mouth shut and let him say whatever he wants to me but ...it is not fair as I did nothing to deserve his wrath.

Anywho, here is what I ate today:

B - boiled egg
L - homemade chicken soup (added cabbage I defrosted)
D - Nothing yet but will probably eat some of the chicken I roasted earlier this week with some broccoli and cheese. I have some great goat cheese and some Havarti cheese and will probably put some on the broccoli. I am getting hungry writing about it so I think I'l go eat now.:-)

Didn't go to work out with the trainer today. Pulled something in my lower back on Tuesday doing a new with lifting move and didn't want to aggravate it more. Will go back next Tuesday.

Finally finished my homework last night and don't plan to do any school work tonight but tomorrow must practice my presentation for class on Saturday.

Got on the scale this morning and probably shouldn't have as I promised myself I'd only eigh in once a week on Sunday's But....I was down to 147 this week. Hope it stays that way by Sunday.

Sorry to hear of your problems at work. Sometimes we just don't mesh with everyone. At least your scale is moving in the right direction.

Thanks Sandi and Libby. Just keeping the whole job debacle in prayer at this point.

Ate today:
B - boiled egg
L - went out with a friend and had Thai spring rolls and Tom Kha Kai soup. (Thai Chicken Coconut soup)
D- Salad with roast chicken and Caesar dressing

Last night I ended up eating the roast chicken and broccoli with cheese.
Today I had a meeting and my boss showed up at it. Sitting next to him was excruciating!!!! He eye-balled me whenever I spoke.
I have school tomorrow at 8...going to turn in now.

Hey Sandi, that Thai chicken coconut soup is delish. I don;t now how many carbs are in in but it is light and refreshing. The spring rolls are really light also. I had a Thai friend introduce me to Thai food and thought it would be too spicy for me but not everything is spicy.

Today I ate a boiled egg for breakfast that I bought on Friday at the store in the lobby of my office building. I don't know how long she had it in there because after I ate it this morning I was as sick as a dog. I'm talking light-headed and had to to sit on the curb sick. I was walking on campus when it happened and I thought I was going pass out. I finally vomited and within 30 minutes or so I felt better. I was about to turn around and go home to back to bed before I threw up. Morale of the story....no more store bought boiled eggs!!!!

For lunch -- had a salad with roast beef and turkey breast with mustard and mayo

Dinner-- Was not as LC as it should have been. Went out with my friend and his daughter to get chicken tenders. Ended up eating 4 of those, 3 onion rings, 10 french fries and 2 mozzarella sticks. Yes, everything was breaded!!!! I also ate the chicken with honey-mustard sauce. I am not going to lie, it was all very good. Then to top it off, I had some Edy's slow churned vanilla ice cream. , It was a single serving cup that was 23 carbs and I only ate half because it tasted a little too sweet.

Oh well, I don't think I'd call it a binge but it was similar to one in that I didn't blink an eye when I ate it. I mean I did know it wan't the LC dinner I would have liked to have eaten but I let myself eat it all without guilt and figured tomorow is another day and one day does not define my normal eating habits. I think it may have beeen a bad reaction to the stress I am feeling these days. I'm going to chalk it up as a birthday dinner even though my birthday isn't until next week.

I plan on a having a seafood birthday dinner and a LC cheese cake with no crust for dessert. I do not plan to cheat!! Especially since I already did today. I don't plan a repeat and will not freak out if I gained a pound or two. I don't think I will but betweeen cheating tonight and no work-out since Tuesday when I pulled that muscle in my back, I dunno what the scale will say tomorrow morning.

I see my niece is back. Glad to see her return! :-) Hope she reads this and realizes cheating is not the end of the world. It is whether or not you ever regroup that matters.
