Smile going for thin AND healthy

I have been struggling with my weight for a few years now. Dr. recommended low carbing so here I am.

I'm still going to continue juicing vegetables but will have to be careful of the carbohydrate counts now. I bought a dozen eggs today, along with chicken and beef. I have cheese but will go easy on it. I have a weakness for bread and crackers so those will be given to a friend of mine who is not low carbing. I'm a little unsure of myself at this point but I know I will feel better and look better. That's better than any toast could be.

    Tomorrow is officially Day One.

    thank you both!

I'm following what my dr. gave me which is a modified Atkins from all the books I've read. The only thing different for me is that I am juicing. I use that for much of my carbs and I eat a lot of broccoli and very low carb vegetables.

I eat protein at every sitting and lots of vegetables and veg. juice. I have some fruit but not much at all.

For induction or the first two weeks you might want to totaly do away w/ your fruit.. and realy becarefull w/ what veggies you are useing.. and dont go by net count if your juiceing it... beacuse you are not getting the fiber that you need to take away some of the carbs... for the first two weeks i would realy watch what you take in..

good luck.. hope you do good..

Just an opinion, but I think you're going to be disappointed if you start with a modified plan. You're better off following the plan to the letter for the first two weeks, and then work on modifying it.

Otherwise, you may find yourself wondering why it didn't work.

    Good Luck! Keep us posted.

    thank you all!

I'm feeling good today, slept very hard and long last night for a change.

today's breakfast is eggs and vegetable juice.

I have to mow a couple of lawns today so that will keep me busy until lunch. don't know what I'll fix yet, I'm sure I'll want something cold after being out in the heat for a few hours.

    check in later.

slept well again last night. It was easy to wake up this morning. I'm eating out for lunch and I'm not sure where we'll go but I know I can be resourceful and find something that is good for me on the menu.

I got a little overfull with last night's dinner so I'm going to watch that closer today.

doing well again today. didn't weigh yet, wont' for a week or two. I had a lot of energy this morning but kind of headachy this afternoon.

had eggs again this morning, seem to help start the day off well.
haven't exercised at all today and don't have the motivation too, even though I know it would probably make me feel better.

it's been a much better day today.

breakfast was slimfast low carb shake
lunch was a lot of chicken
    broccoli
    mushrooms

    dinner will be more chicken
    vegetables

I have allergies today but not the massive headache and nausea of yesterday.
I feel pretty good considering I went to a midnight movie and didn't get home until 4:30 am!

I'm feeling better today. been sick with bronchitis for a few days.

started today with a slimfast low carb shake.
lunch will be a large salad with bacon and cheese
dinner will be chicken, large salad, vegetable of some sort.

no snacks today. that has been my downfall the last few days.

I am going to get my 10,000 steps in today. the last few days with being sick I've barely gotten in a few hundred.

    the best laid plans....

    today was:
    slim-fast low carb
large salad, lettuce, onions, mushrooms, green beans, with italian dressing (oops)
    toppings off vegetable/cheese pizza
    bratwurst with onions and peppers
    saurkraut
    macadamia nuts
    cheese and cucumbers

so far I've walked 4400 steps.
