I figure this is the easiest aeobics I've ever done and I don't care what my family thinks of it. What will they think of my results? Yeahhhh. I'm going to recruit them.

I told my mom I would teach her how to do it, she was lying in bed, cracked open an eye and said, "I'm just dying to learn". That was that. LOL

Walmart sells this monitor that you wear around your chest and then has a watch type thing that tells you your heart rate. (It's in the exercise section). This helps me with motivation because I can see what happens when I take the breaths. When I walk and do the diaphram breathing continuously w/o holding my stomach in my heart rate stays at 140 and I don't have to kill myself trying to walk faster than is comfortable. This is HUGE. Every minute of my walk becomes aerobic by doing the breathing. After I do the BF workout I've been doing a 30min walk. Totally invigorating. I used to feel worse after exercising but not now.

Plus, as Kate Street reminds us in her column this week, since we are LC every second we are burning FAT FAT FAT FAT.....yeehawwwwwwwww

I just had to share......

Sharron, hope you are better. I'm going to have to go read about the chips.

This is my third morning of doing BodyFlex and I think I'm beginning to get it. Today I sweated and my breathing became heavy and fast. I still have trouble rolling up my stomach on the scissors position. And although I gasp for air after holding my breath, I don't feel like I've created a vacuum. I'll just keep at it and see what happens. I do have more energy so I must be doing something right. I'll re-measure at the end of the week and report back. CC

I have a theory. lol

I can tell I'm getting better at rolling up my stomach and I get better each session.

My stomach muscles can only do so many of these before they fatige? and won't cooperate the rest of the way. Each time tho, I can do a few more. Can it be that it takes awhile before those muscles can go the whole way and hold properly each time?

Good job CC! Just keep doing it.

I think you may be on to something Kerry. I am pretty good at doing it now and definitely hear the vacuum after each breath, but when I first started, it took me a while to get it right. I now feel like I am rolling my stomach up so far, it is coming out my throat!

You learn something new every day.

Reading this topic, i can't help but to laugh at myself.

I am a pure skeptic. I've seen this infomercial and thought to myself "yeah right". If only it could be that easy.

I'm glad to read all the positive post. I'm going to go on ebay and find these tapes.

I really love this website

Hi everyone. So sorry to hear u were feeling sick Sharron. I'm glad ur feeling better.

I've been doing it all week and I don't think there is really gonna be any measurement change this week but it feels good. I'm doing it either b4 or after my regular workouts. Even taught some of friends too.

Also, b/c someone mentioned this. I have found that it's much harder to get the abs rolling up while ur lying down. I suppose this takes time.

Also, does everyone do all the positions or just do the ones that target what u need? When GC says 15 minutes a day, does she mean that u can get thru all positions with 3 reps each in 15 min? I wouldn't think so. So I have been only doing certain ones--crunch, cat, scizzors, the butt one (myfavorite) and the regular breathing one. I should really be doing those side lunges too.

Like I said, I don't think any inches have come off yet. How long do you think b4 i will see? Mostly, I just really wanna take a few inches and tone the abs and also tone and lift the butt. If that's possible , i'd be such a happy camper! I have got a lot of hard muscle but in those spots its buried under some fat that seems totally resistant to situps and running.

I think it's a pick-and-choose thing. I'm with you and couldn't imagine doing all of the positions and reps in just 15 minutes. That would feel too rushed for me.

It takes me a full 30 minutes to do 5 reps of 12 exercises. (that includes the 10 warm ups with the neck and face.) I didn't think 3 reps was enough to do anything. I really feel it with 5. Especially in my abs and arms.

Saying all that to admit to only doing the breathing the last 2 days.

I only do the breathing -- for 15 minutes.

Jen, I'm really confused? When I read the book and when I participated in the Body Flex support group when I first started on this, both the folks on the forum and the book as I remember it were pretty emphatic about it only being 15 minutes a day...

Did mine today! It is so nice to be able to do the breathing the correct way! I can really feel the difference

Blessings!
