Back to work, back to curves. I snuck in an extra circuit today. By the time I was done with three, everyone else had left, so I just went around again. I have no idea what's motivating me, except that I feel stronger and that feels good.

You ladies ROCK!!!!! I went in yesterday too. We're doing a "report card" thing where we can earn Curves Cash or Stars. I really haven't figured out the report card deal, but am still trying to earn the "cash" so I can "buy" some curves things. Yesterday we had to tell about our very first date. That got us all talking and before I knew it, the half hour whizzed by. It was fun. My first date was at an A&W on a friday night where we would go EVERY friday night and get a dog with everything and a large mug of rootbeer. I was 17 and madly in love. I learned to eat raw onions in self defense. LOLOLOL

I almost pardoned myself today. Going through a bit of a rough patch. But I resisted the urge and went anyway. I only did the usual 3 circuits & stretching, but I'm glad I did. This business is a very good antidote to aggravation.

Did 4 times around today, since it's Wednesday. That's my new plan. 4X on M-W-F. We shall see if I can keep this up. Rob says it takes 3 weeks to get a new habit started. I'm in the middle of week two, but don't actually feel as if this is a habit yet.

.... I am, however, starting to feel a little "used to it."

I really really wanted to blow it off today. But, I didn't give in. I went. I've skipped the stretches at the end the last two times because of time crunches, but I got the old heart rate up and broke a sweat.

Maggie --- 3X around?? How many machines do you have? We have 14 and only go 2X. When time permits, I might see if I can throw another round into the mix. As it is though, I haven't been home before 6:00 this week.

We only have nine machines, Judy. It's a very basic set up and I've never actually seen the owner. I think she only comes in in the morning and I always go after work. I know what you mean about time.

I have an advantage there, in that my work "uniform" is a suit with elastic waist pants and EVERYTHING is machine washable. I have a nice collection of mix & match suits and tops. I just take off the jacket, put my car key and any clunky jewelry into the pocket, hang up the jacket and go to it. When I'm done stretching, I pick up my jacket and leave. It means that I don't get more than one wearing out of my suit pants or blouses, since they get all sweated up, but I don't care. I have a washer.

if either one of you want to learn more - there is a web site like this called
www.curvesforum.com that has a lot of curves discussions.

Usually if you have less than 10 machines - 3x is normal, the full 14, 2x is normal. They don't usualy recommend doing more than you are told, but if it doesn't bother you, what the heck.

Stretching - you should always do it. It is an integral part of the workout, as important as the actual machines. It keeps you from hurting, but it also stretches the muscles, which help with a trimmer appearance.

just passing on the info.

Ours has an amount of machines that you have to go around ALMOST 3 X's. (never counted them) The stretching is really important too, it helps you maintain what your workout did for you. I read somewhere that if you don't stretch afterward, you lose 80% of the workout benefit. Just FYI.

Great.......... just what I need is to lose 80% of my efforts. Ok, Ok, no more skipping the stretches. Tomorrow I'll do the whole bit.

And I did do it all................ On top of that, I took DD's giant dog for a walk last night. Or maybe I should say he took me for a drag.

A BIG Golden Retriever! He's only a year old, and weighs about 90 pounds. If his weight ever matches his height, he will be as big as I am.
