| Tomorrow I go back to Curves. Have not been since the 23rd of August as I was on vacation where there were not Curves. This morning I weighed myself and it looks like I gained 4.5 lbs. Back to Low carbs. Wish me luck!

| WELCOME BACK Fran!!!! Better to get on with your normal routine now, eh? Oh Judy that IS a big dog!!!! No wonder he took you for a drag!!!!! That's gotta be worth some calorie burning, eh? I'm running off to Curves in a few minutes. Today it's hoola hooping during the recovery stations for 5 Curves buck, WOOHOO!!!!

| Today was supposed to be my first monthly weigh and measure day. They were busy when I got there, so I thought I would just do it before leaving.........WRONG........It's supposed to be done before exercising. I'll have it done on Wed. I think I have lost a couple of pounds this month. I'm sure the exercise had something to do with it, but more than that, it was just getting back to goal after my back-to-school blip. Of course that blip seemed to camp out for about three weeks. I'm really going to try (well, we'll see how that goes) to get down to 135 by my two year Atkinversary at Halloween. Now, that would be way cool. Barb, we've been playing games for Curve's bucks on Fridays. Ours have been school oriented -- additions games, alphabet games, book and character games. I have about 15 Curve bucks so far. Good luck tomorrow Fran........... you might want to find the Tylenol bottle after so long without a workout. |

| Weigh and measure day. Drum roll please.......... I'M A LOSER!!! .....and damn proud of it. -2 pounds and some inches. I'm especially proud of the flattening of the stomach and smaller waist. |

| Good for you, Judy! Congratulations! I've been faithfully going to curves on week nights, but I'm not measuring anything until the first week in October. My weight's been about the same (which is fine; I'm happy where I am) but I suspect there's been some shift between fat & muscle. I'm pretty sure my measurements are going to be changed when I check them. Posting at the same time, MK! You're right about being hooked. Probably the most positive "addiction" I've ever attempted. How's the ankle?

| Ok, I think I'm hooked for like........... Three things happened this week that really confirm and reafirm my desire to stay with this eating plans and to stick with workouts at CURVES. Take in mind that I teach high school seniors, a breed that may be the most cutthroat and critical creatures to walk the earth. 1. I was told by our assistant principal that her daughter who is in charge of a benefit style show wanted me to be one of the MCs for the style show because I always looked so cute and was such a nice size. 2. I had a friend ask her student assistant who the girl's hair dresser was. The kid has a really cute haircut. That kid was also complementary of my hair and style. 3. But the kicker was today. Right in the middle of cl**** an outspoken girl sitting on the front row asked if I work out. Some kid in the back said "where did that come from?" Her comment ---" cause she's so freakin skinny". Oh yes, it's been a good week. And let me tell you, at the ripe old age of 53, that's some seriously appreciated comments. |

| Curves may become a saving grace for the marriage........... Today was one of those days where I had too many kids that were entirely too impressed with themselves. I *NEEDED* to work up a sweat and work out the frustration before coming home. It was definitely a "Gone With the Wind" Day.......... Quote:

| Judy, I'm so glad curves is helping you out with the release. I think that is what Maggie is seeing too. Its an easy way to go do a workout (not easy workout, just an easier way to do it). I'm so looking forward to getting back to doing my workout.

| Yet another benefit from exercise!!!!!! I did something novel today. I went to Curves BEFORE work. I didn't get too icky sweaty, so it wasn't too bad. Besides, I changed my clothes. I'm glad I have it over with for the day. I don't think I could do that on a regular basis, but I like not having to go now after work. I did it because I woke up so early this morning and had some spare time. MK, sure hope you can get back into your groove soon. How's the tooth feeling???

| I prefer the early morning workout - which is another reason I am not going to Curves (ours doesn't open until 8) I love going to Ballys around 6:30, and getting home around 7-7:30 and taking a shower. Just starts my day right. Tooth is 'okay' - but tender - on soft foods for awhile. and now I have a scratchy throat. Shooting down the vitamin C, drinking OJ. anything. whatever. I can't afford to get sick. not with the tile installers coming in the morning.

| MK----- sorry that all parts are breaking down at the same time. Hope you are feeling better soon. I liked the comment about going at 6:30 and coming home for a shower at 7:30 --- maybe I'll have a schedule that would allow something like that in my next life. As it is, I have to be at school by 7:45. If I added exercise to my before work schedule, I would have to be up by 5:00.--- That "ain't gonna" happen! |
