Default Walking for Weight Loss

I found a very interesting site on walking for weight loss and thought I would share it with anyone who was interested. The site has alot of information and tips, and TONS of links to other great information. It also had some links to alot of useful and interesting weightloss tools, such as calorie calculator, etc. Hope you all find it helpful

Shimmer, thanks's for the website! I started walking 6 days a week 5 weeks ago for my challange in the Fauxatato patch. The first week I walked for 15 minutes a day now I'm up to an hour. It's amazing how quickly your body will improve to meet a challenge you give it. I feel so much better now that I'm walking.

Rob, with the amount of walking you do I'm surprised nobody calls you Forest Gump. ;-)

Forset Gump -

I just figured out that I've walked 966 miles so far this year. Would be more but winter months really put a crimp in my walking.

Amost a thousand miles this year!?! Great Ceaser's Ghost! You are Forest Gump! LOL
Wow, that is some feat or should I say feet. All kidding aside that is a serious accomplishment you can be proud of. I hope I can turn my life around like your doing. I'm getting there but I have so long to go. One day at a time I guess. Each day I get out and walk I feel stronger and just a little closer to my goal.

Good grief! That's unbelievable!!
I can't imagine finding the energy to walk that far in a year, much less the time to do it. I truly envy your persistence and stamina.

Thanks for the encouragement. I couldn't have done it without my dog sophie. She makes it fun. I'm at 980. I think I can reach 1000 by the end of the month. Funny to think that all that walking would just about get me to Canada. Thank goodness for cars. LOL
