So far so good for this week. I went yesterday. I even went past my designated two rounds. It is still really crowded with the January new comers, but I have certainly run into lots of old friends there, too.

Tina, excellent results!

BTW, Tina, I was talking about the weather, not your excellent results. ... just in case there was any doubt.

Well, I continue to be impressed by the weather. Currently I have 5 or 6 inches of snow and it's still comin' - that's over the residual ice from the other day. Now they're saying that it's going to be in the 50's by Thursday. Yeesh!

Well, I didn't go to curves today. I'm doing this deliberately. I'm going to try MWF for a while. I've been doing this every day after work since the first of September. Now, I'll admit I'm not trying to lose weight. I've neither lost nor gained in that department. I DID move a few inches around after one month, but since then, there's been no change at all. Since I missed a couple of days before I went back last night, I felt today as if I'd actually exercised yesterday. Maybe, there's something to one day on one day off. I'm going to try this for a month or so and see if it makes any difference.

Hehe, Maggie, I so want to try the everyday thing, but I just don't seem to be able to get there.

My hip was hurting so bad today, 'cuz I went to Curves yesterday and REALLY worked the machines HARD and then last night I did 1 mile with my walkaerobics DVD. I'm hurtin' today. So we'll see if I go tomorrow. If I do, I think I'll skip the stirrup, thigh squeezer thingy (adductor???) that does me in too. I don't know what's going on with my hip. My elbow did the same thing aftewhile when I was on a bowling league. I ended up with Bowler's Elbow (like Tennis Elbow) I seem to go a long time with no problem, and then something acts up. It doesn't make any sense to me. I should be getting stronger, yanno?

hehe, maggie-you had me there for a minute but I did realize you were talking about the weather. We were supposed to get 4 inches yesterday but got about an inch-yes, i'm disappointed. Thursday will take care of alot of the snow and ice.

When I first signed up for curves probably two yrs ago, I also did everyday. At the time, the first month or two, I did real good and then produced no results. The trainer told me then, the best thing was 3 x week because you really are not going to get much better results pushing your body. I also got very bored and quit going. That's why this time I am intent on 3 x a week adn no more. course, i caught dh cold and was out of work monday and 1/2 day yesterday so I haven't gotten to curves yet this week. goign this morning.

Barb, I have the same problem with anything repetitious like that especially my elbow. During bowling season, i was out for like 3 weeks with it-couldn't pickup the ball let alone throw it-then this yr in golf season, it acted up again quite badly. its funny you said that about getting stronger-i thought that the other day=can't remember what i was doing but i thought to myself, my arms should be getting stronger and this should easier but it wasn't. My legs are stronger but my arms don't feel it.

Hip is still hurting, but not as bad as yesterday, so I guess I'll try going in this AM. I think I'll skip the abductor/adductor machine. But the funny thing is.....when I use that machine, it doesn't hurt. Don't know what's going on.

I joined Curves yesterday. One of the ladies that I work with had joined a couple of weeks ago, and gave me a free pass, so I tried it, liked it and joined. I am going to go 3 x wk for now, and walk and/or do ab work on my days off from Curves.

Cinelu, welcome to the Curves thread!!!! Welcome aboard.

I ended up NOT going to Curves yesterday and opted for making my kitchen curtains all day. I'm hoping to get over there some time today. If I don't, I will have taken an entire week off from exercise, We'll see what the day holds. I't s so hard to get back on track after going out of town.

I went yesterday and did my one hour on the circuit. That's my new deal - M/W/F but double session. Wednesday is going to be a long day, since I can't get out of work early for a head start. Oh, well.

I went Monday when I was off, and Tuesday after work. Will go again on Thursday, and again on Saturday, to try to establish a normal routine. I'm really enjoying it.

Good work, Cinelu!

I did my one hour on the circuit again today. We're still in the icebox and it snowed all day. I did get to leave a little early, which helped some. I've still got more shoveling to do, but I'll get to it later (or in the am). At least one of my "guardian angels" gave my little parking area a few swipes, so I didn't have to deal with that heavy stuff down by the road. I guess being the "old broad who lives alone" sparks some sympathy in the hearts of a couple of guys who live on my road.

Maggie, that's really nice of them!!!!

We got about an inch last night, no big deal, but I did shovel the walk to my driveway and my steps. I think we are supposed to get some more tonight. Tomorrow, I will have to shovel the end of my driveway, the dang plows keep shoving snow in there and clogging it up. Oh well, it's an excuse to get out and do something physical.

I got myself into Curves today, WOOOHOOO!!!!! I worked hard and even broke a little sweat and a few huffNpuffs. I did the walkaerobics during the recovery stations and that really helps. Got my heart rate up pretty good too!!!!
