NO workouts today...pool is closed...heater finally quit all together and the water is frigid from what I understand...last time it broke they cobbled it back together and for two days the water was almost 95 degrees...now it is like 50...BRRRRRR! Glad to hear it is coming out, though that really sucks about not being able to swim...I am hoping they get the pool fixed so I don't have to resort to treadmill workouts...YUCK!! I may do that tongiht though so I don't have to do 5 straight days to get my 5 in this week...I get so over tired by Friday and Saturday that my workouts aren't good either!

Gregg, doing well, took tuesday and wed off work, and back yesterday and today, tho havn't been in the gym in a week... do I miss it... can't swim for another week, but plan on getting to gym on sunday for some treadmill walking...
I am a little sore... but other than that doing reall well.... as my oncologyist says I graduated....

For all I have cll (chronic Lymphacytic lukemia - mostly called the "old people's lukemia - usually get it at 65-70years old - except I got it first at 45) went thru chemo 7 years ago, then it creapted back into my system and had to have chemo again about 3 -1/2 years ago so I have had a port inmy chest for 3 and a half years - cost me $20 a month for a flush and $20 a month for blood thinners - so I get to save about $400 a year. I think my dr was waiting for me to pass the 2 and a half year point which is when i had to have
chemo again... anyway I am healthy, and doing well.

Try dislocated the ulna...hurts like crazy but I am doing better--though I hate the cast! It does keep it stable which makes more comfortable...the braces didn't fit right to hold the bone in place til the ligaments could heal...I have at least wo weeks and then possibly another 4...depending on whether they decide it was torn or just stretched...anyway, I found a water sleeve that is awesome! It is really tight at the elbow but I can swim in it and it is NOT too uncomfortable. I am in the current cast for 2 weeks then we re-evaluate and retest and then the occupational therapist and the orthopaedist get to decide my fate!

I can't wait...tomorrow would not actually be soon enough for me!

Carolyn, actually I guess it's good news that you have 'graduated.' That's actually GREAT news! Good to hear you are going to try to do some other stuff while the site heals up. I"m sure you miss your pool though.
Lori, sorry to hear about your cast. It's got to make swimming kinda tough. That's cool about the sleeve though. I can remember having casts on and having to hold my arm up in the air when taking a shower.
Did really good w/o yesterday. Not as heavy as I was last year yet. But I always err on the side of caution. Don't want no steenkin injuries! Working hard on abs esp lower abs with leg lifts.
Great work Carrie! You are awesome!

I only did 800 today..something I am doing I think to compensate for the cast is killing my shoulder...I really probably should cut back even further and use a kickboard and jsut do maybe 500 or so...it is so hard when you really like to do something and are having a hard time...the sleeve leaked a bit today...either that or I was pretty sweaty in that darned plastic/rubber thing...but I think probably it leaked a bit...I may go get a second for insurance reasons...put one on...then the second and hope they both don't leak! HEHE...will try it again tomorrow and if I am damp again...not really wet, can't feel it on the cloth inside but deep inside the cast feels damp...hrmmm??? anyway...will try it again and if it is the same tomorrow I will get aanother one on Wednesday!
