Default 20-30 Minutes a Day! MAY 2006

hey all!

Here is a thread that will help us all. It is kinda a challenge but not really, because getting 20-30 minutes of exercise in a day is mandatory for our good health. It could be:

walking
housecleaning
jogging
doing laundry
at the gym
weight training
WATP
yoga
gardening

WHATEVER....

just get it IN!!! Each and every day..... AND for your homework...come here, tell us about it and BRAG.....!!!

20-30 a day is what I say! (hey that rhymed...nice!!!)

I will start it!

I walked for 35 minutes today.... YES!!!!

See you tomorrow!!!

Here's to your health *clink*

Khrystyne....you read my mind! (Or my journal...) I really need this. Just like the "5-a-Day" challenge, I may not be perfect here (I know I won't!) but it will be a reminder and a nudge to me to get off my duff at least 20 minutes a day. I feel like exercise (my lack of it) is one of the main things that are keeping me from losing this weight once and for all. Count me in and thanks!

Hey ladies!
I have been to the gym TWO DAYS in a row!!! This is huge for me. The first day I did 25 mins on the elliptical, and today 30 minutes (plus 10 in the steamroom!) I'd like to swim, but there are people in the pool in a class (that is too long for me because I have to get to work. :-(
I'm excited, though! I'll keep you posted, y'all do the same!

Uh-Oh! I forgot to post here yesterday: I spent 20 minutes on my Gazelle. This morning I slept in....figuring I needed the sleep worse than the exercise. (It's hard to find time for both!)

The plan is to get to bed early tonight and get my hiney out of bed, go to my homegym and do some resistance/weight training. Later!

I worked out on my home gym. I only had time for one "round" or set or whatever. I did 15 reps of each exercise and there are 7. The important thing here is I got my butt out of bed and did it!

I do 'arms' one day and 'legs' the next on my home gym - gives the muscles time to revive! My gym workout (with ab crunches daily) takes about 20 minutes and my stretch-a-robics about the same. My walk is longer though - that's about 1hr and a half - that's because I like walking best!

I haven't been online or on the Gazelle the past couple of days. It's been like living in a tornado around here. I'll be back on track this weekend, though!

Khrystyne....Heather.....Kim....Beachfox....Maxibe e.....what happened to us?

I am mentally, emotionally, environmentally, and spiritually gearing up for a fantastic June. I want to exercise EVERY day to see if that (lack of it!) is what is keeping me from losing the weight.
So, let's just get going....we can even start a new thread June 1 if ya'll want to. Or we can join the "Tracking thread" already in progress. I just know I gotta DO IT!!

O rats! I forgot about this thread - sorry! Yep - I've been doing all my usual stuff - weights - stretch-a-robics and walk. Also been keeping on parking my car as far as possible from shops etc - to ensure more walking! I have stairs in my house - 3 years ago I had to use a stair climbing machine - now I RACE up and down the stairs several times a day! Woohoo!!!

Forgot to say - yesterday was almost a writeoff - I had to go to the shops right after my walk - so didn't get into my exercise till about 4pm - urk - don't want to do that again - it wasn't very motivating!! But I did it!!
