The Gazelle gathered dust last night, but not tonight. I had to hop on and off for DD and the dog's needs, but I did manage to finally eke out 200 calories. We'll see what this weekend brings. A friend of mine who likes to walk (she's lost over 100 pounds this year!) said she's meet me this weekend.

After a very sporadic year of hitting the gym... I'm trying to get back to 5-6 days in a row.

did well last week -- 6 days on, but hit legs so hard, I couldnt walk without pain for 4 days.... took 3 days off.

Wed - I did HIIT on the ellicptical CT for 35 min. Max HR was 184, though I stayed in my 70-90% range (This was considered a hard day)

thursday I ended up going to a friends house for the day - so i didint get in much more than walking (she lives in a very hilly subdivision)

today I hit legs again... 3 sets walking lunges (I use the track, and do sets of 10) finish the lap walking, then complete 3 sets.
then i did: reverse lunges off the STEP, ballet squats, deadlifts -- sets of 10, but only did it twice - so i knew I'd be able to walk this weekend.
finished it off with drop sets of leg extensions (3 sets of 10) and some calf work.

tracked my HR -- average for 35 min was 140 with a max of 170.

tomorrow i plan on doing upper body -- we shall see.

Terese!
So good to see you! Glad you are in here with us now

My face and nose is still swollen and I'm still on pain meds from the surgery, so I do NOT think it would be wise to go to the gym until I'm off the pain meds :(
AARRGGHHH...I NEED to work out....I WANT to work out...<sigh>
Hoping Sunday or Monday I can resume my workouts.

In the meantime...everyone do a little sweating for me, OK?

My deep house cleaning paid off yesterday with a pound loss this morning. I have my babies room to do this evening for my exercise today.

I'm tired. I'm gonna skip today ( I've been running around like a madwoman at work all day!) and get some walking done tomorrow. Every other day is much better than once a week!

If my walking buddy doesn't e-mail me soon, I may take walk around our neighborhood and let DD ride her bike beside me.....I'll check back in and report what I've done for today. Have a nice, active weekend, everyone!

Well, Carrie is leaving me in the dust....but at least I'm in the dust and not on the couch!
Yesterday, my friend and I met, but it was getting dark, so we didn't walk. I did get on the Gazelle for a while last night after we got home.
Today, DD rode her bike while I walked around our neighborhood, which is half a mile. I carry 3# hand weights and use 5# ankle weights. It started getting dark and buggy, so we came home and I hopped on the Gazelle for an energetic 1.10 miles.
I was still at 223 this morning and I do not want to see any regain!

Have a great, energetic week, everyone!

Today I went to the gym and did 15 minutes on the elliptical and then some on the weight machines. I felt so crummy, like I was going to pass out that I gave up and went home. I wanted to do at least 30 minutes on the elliptical but couldn't. I figured I'd just go to weight machines but couldn't do much on those either. I decided to try Sacred Heart diet but it made me feel awful! Body feels under the weather, like the flu so I plan on relaxing the rest of the day and taking care of myself. I must need more protein since I didn't get much of it.
