I wish i was pregnant but got my tubes tied - lol. It's just a tender ball under my stomach but if I lay on my belley I can even feel it. I'm hoping it is just some weird lump of fat . Thankfully it doesn't hurt. Thursday I have an appointment at the Doctor.

Heather, I am glad you are going to see a doctor. That does sound like a hernia so take it easy just in case.

I did a 2.5 mile run this evening. I cut down a little of the warm up walking (did about .5) and just jogged slower to get those legs fired up! I just can't believe that I can jog again and actually like doing it. When I used to go to the gym, I would fast walk on the treadmill and just hated how jogging felt. It could have also been due to the "show off" hard bodies galloping along on the things in their sport's bras and teeny shorts making me feel self conscious. When I run down the neighborhood streets I see all kinds of people trying to work out and it is much nicer to see!

yes heather, i am so glad you are seeing a doctor right away. hope it can be taken care of easily!! thinking good thoughts for you.

snuki, awesome job on the jogging!! i can't stand those girls that wear sports bras and skin tight pants either. i don't care how fit you are, i think t-shirts should always be worn at the gym, LOL!!

i took sunday off from working out. i had planned to get up early and hit the gym yesterday before work (b/c i had class after work). but i could NOT get out of bed!! moving to our new place has really wiped me out. :( but i MADE myself go to the gym after class. FYI, not fun working out at 10PM, LOL. but i got in a little over 4 miles of running. better than nothing!!

Carrie congrats on the 1st floor apartment. I'm on the first floor too and I love it!

Welcome Sarah! Its great to find an exercise that you enjoy!

Heather I don't think there is anything wromg with you for enjoying weight lifting. I 'suffer' the same infliction. I hope your Dr appt goes well!

    Let's see....Saturday walked 5 miles
Sunday did upper body with dumbells. I did have to use the dip assisst machine though because I'm too weak to do regular chin ups :o
Monday abs, today leg routine; squats, deadlifts, lunges and back extentions. Could barely walk out of the gym.

WOW gregg, you're getting some GOOD workouts in!!

snuki, you probably just needed some rest ... good for you for listening to your body. too often people end up getting injured b/c they pushed when they shouldn't have!

i just re-started phase 1 of south beach yesterday (basically like atkins induction) - and i am REALLY feeling it. no energy AT ALL. i know it'll pass ... but i'm really dragging. ran 6 miles today at the gym - but it felt like a marathon. also biked 15 mins and lifted biceps. my calves started cramping up after my run ... which hasn't happened in a looong time ... i must be getting rid of stored glucose?? anyhoo, i'll sleep well tonite!

How are you feeling today Snuki? Hope that you got all the rest you need and aren't coming down with the flu or something.

It was so hard today to not lift weights at the gym today Gregg. Can't wait until my appointment tomorrow. If it is a hernia I hope they can just pop that sucker back in place so I can get strength training asap. Of course I'll talk with the doc and make sure I don't need to wait. I sure hope not I'd like to start back up on Friday if I can.

Carrie, are you not getting enough salt? That can cause cramps. I know that we're told to limit salt but you do need some because it gives you the potassium you need. Just a thought from mommy Heather.

Carolyn - 1/2 mile of swimming laps AND water aerobics is starting slow for you - whew! I don't know if I could walk after that. I've heard such great things about swimming, how it is great for working your entire body.

Today I worked so hard! I did 45 minutes elliptical, 30m bike ride and 45m walk. I'll sleep good tonight!

    hi guys!
heather, that bike seat is so neat! so you can take TWO lil ones on the bike w/ you now?? wow, that's gonna be some good exercise for you!! also, thanks for the suggestion re: salt and cramps. what's funny is that i actually had kind of a higer sodium day on the day i started cramping. i always tend to cramp up in my calves during P1/induction. i took a multi-vitamin yesterday and didn't cramp up much.

anyhoo, i ran six miles again yesterday. it took me a looong time and it felt very difficult. i know i will have more energy in a week or so .... i hope so!! also biked 15 mins and lifted triceps. sleeping really well.

    water aerobics 1 hour

heather, i was up to doing 60 laps (80 is a mile) 3x a week, and hadn't swam for a few weeks,so i didn't want to hurt my muscles by trying to get it all in one day, it usually takes me 40-45 min to swim 60 laps, and then I usually do a little bit of water aerobics, so... I was taking it easy this first week.

next week, back to my 60 laps...

Carrie - yea, I get to take both my boys on the bike ride. I have a two and a seven year old. My oldest is having a hard time balancing on his own bike so I'm hoping this will be just the thing he needs. Plus my youngest won't feel left out and dh will get to spend some time just relaxing. We all need some time to ourselves and I hope that he just takes it easy. He works hard for me to stay at home so he deserves it.

Today I did house cleaning and an hour walk. Got to my dr appointment today and have to laugh! I haven't weighed this weight for 8 - 10 years and have had 2 c-sections since then. Found out that this tender ball in my belley is just scar tissue!

    Hi guys!

Did upper body training yesterday. I've been doing a lot of reading lately and thought you might like this article.

    Heather, have fun biking!

Carrie, I hope you can get over the cramping pretty soon!
