| I love techno/dance remixes of pop songs, they make me move. I also love R&B, rap, Motown, some fast rock, classic rock, well just about anything I can really move to. When the tempo of the song slows down as I run, my momentum sort of slows. What do you listen to to get your body movin'? I am looking for some new music suggestions or things I may have in my collection that I am just overlooking....

| When I first saw this thread, I felt really old, because I have not heard of most of those artists. Then I realized, I'm not a young chick, I'm a grandma. And the music from my era is always the best music! I have been using an old Chuck Mangione tape to workout on my Gazelle, (circa 1977!)because he has some slower stuff for warm ups and cool downs, and some really long intervals of really up tempo stuff for really pushing the workout. I'm going to look through some of my old music and see what else might be good. I'm thinking of the 1812 Overture. Some old rock n roll, maybe even some big band and swing. A very eclectic mix, so as not to get bored. No matter what kind of music we like, music makes exercise so much more pleasant. (Did I actually use the words EXERCISE and PLEASANT in the same sentence?!!!!!)
