| Hi Roach, Exercise places unique demands on your body. And you need to eat to replace the nutrients that have been depleted during your work out. If you don't eat something, you won't be able to recover adequately and you may risk injury and/or compromise you immune system. So by all means EAT! Exercise is cool that way!

| Two and a half hours is a ~long~ workout and could well require some additional nutrition - try to stick to good nutritious choices - high protein foods and veggies. Are these long workouts something you want to sustain in your lifestyle forever? Or is this a special effort to lose weight more quickly? Just try to make sure you don't burn out on exersize altogether from such intense workouts.

| Thanks I'll take head to your advice, everyone keeps telling me to chill out with the workout, I do it just because I love running and cardio. But I might cut back. And I guess I should eat when I'm hungry huh? |

| one of the main points of Dr Atkins plan is to eat when you are hungry. Some of us having trouble telling when we are hungry vs when we just want to eat something - but if you are exercising that much, you should be hungry (needing to replenish) and since you are exercising that much, you will require extra protein/carbs to lose weight. Putting your body into starvation mode can cause weight loss stalls.
