Hi Carrie! You are going to look so hot for the wedding!!! Sorry you have the flu and I hope that you feel better soon.

Today I'm working on gettting in 17,000 steps and will do my thigh master today while I watch some TV. Doing it a few days ago I couldn't believe how sore the next day I was. Glad that something that is inexpensive can still be effective.

You poor thing! I hadn't heard of this virus but don't watch the news much because I get depressed and want to eat. Anyway, have a good trip! The only few times I flew in an airplane I loved it! But flying from California to Korea made my butt sore. You have a good neck pillow?

Oh and Shannon...you are an exercising maniac! I love it! Despite a good excuse to not exercise you felt good enough and just did it. Nike must be your closing of choice....Just Do It!

Hi Shannon it's me Kameron if you remember me. All I am not posting as ABETTERME. I am back to posting under my original name of Kameron/Kameron2
Shannon if I may ask why are you going to Vietnam and will you have a computer????
BBJ I wish I had my pedometer with me. Something about it just inspired me.
Last night I was tired and so I was going to make it an easy gym night. After 30 minutes on the bike I was ready to go so I did another 20 on the treadmill. Tonight is killer abs and even killier Spinning class. If I can get there early enough to get a bike.

Hello Kameron! So glad to see you back and posting! I remember everything you said to me in 2003 when my boyfriend and I broke up (for everyone else, I was dating someone and we broke up after 3years!) So nice!

I'm going back to Vietnam for work. I work in the health field and was there for 3mo this summer. It'll be another adventure. I have great pictures from this summer if anyone is intersted in seeing them - shoot me a PM with your email address!

Shannon,
I am so glad I helped. I didn't exercise yesterday. Well actually I exercise everyday being deployed because we have to walk everywhere. Add on the extra 30 pounds we are carrying around, that makes for a good workout. Tonight however I am going to go, even if it kills me Oh and they have kickboxing classes but they are at the gym way on the other side. Guess I'm just going to have to go with spinning, weights, aerobics and the abs class. I will say this I saw some people coming in for the abs class and they had this weight with them????? WTF????????? I know it will be good since I have to PT test when I go back and I plan on getting max points for situps and my waist. The run and pushups are, as always, a work in progress. Hopefully all will be back to normal soon and I can not be so tired at the end of the day

That workout on my elliptical was a killer last night. Level 3 of 8 so I have a lot of room for progress. Last night my sciatic nerve was just killing me. Thought I'd wake up with tired legs but thankfully jumped out of bed and am ready for a new day. I will take it easy and rest a bit before I get on the elliptical again tonight. I don't want to overwork myself.

I did 60 minutes today on the elliptical with 8 minutes forward and then 2 minutes backward to work the glutes. Feeling great and my pedometer will have 17,000 on it today.

We are finally finished carrying around the extra weight so it's back to the gym for me. Tonight my friend, who works in the gym back in the States, is going to give me a weight program to do two days a week.
BBJ - you are really working it out with the eliptical machine. You go girl!

Have a good time at the gym Kameron! The weight training sounds great. I had my DH order me some weight training video's so that I can just follow along and learn. I've been using the thigh master set for all over weight training and couldn't believe my biceps this morning. I'm anxious to get to my sisters in 3 hours to work on her bowflex. Plan on doing the thigh master for the entire body today since I won't weight train again until Monday. Want to fatigue as much as I can to build muscle with the good recovery time I have. Then of course I'll jump on the elliptical sometime today no problem. I know I've only been using the elliptical for a few days but my calves are getting good shape! With my weight equiptment coming soon I'm going to have my DH pick up some cheap wall mirrors that we'll hang side by side to make one big one. Then I can work on my form so I don't hurt myself.

Last night I used the thigh master as a tool for ab work. If you lie on your back holding one end by your chest and then the other is held by the leg/pelvic area for good support you can really feel the burn. My tummy is also flatter this morning!! So glad to be back to a routine because I've really missed not being able to go to the gym during their hours. I can go and bring the kids swimming, sure, but not get in good cardio/weight training that I need because daycare hours would have ended by time I could go and it would cost money and gas anyway. Loving this home gym because this isn't an issue now. The kids watched cartoons while I sweat the big one!!! They get plenty of exercise just being them. They've been working on the elliptical too because they think it's fun.

60 minutes total on elliptical - Each 10 minutes I would run 1 minute as fast as I could and then 2 minutes backwards for extra work on the glutes.

Cool Re: february exercise accountability

Well, some crazy exercise fanatic "pretty-pleased" me to come over to this thread (Hi Heather!) so I'm here, and hope to keep up to you all....

Just got back from my 3 mile run (I'm guessing three miles because it takes about 50 minutes and I'm a slower runner, but I guess I should drive the route some day to make sure!)

Last night I did 60 min on my recumbent bike, and used my 5 lb hand weights to work chest, shoulders and biceps during my ride.

I too have the Bowflex, but haven't used it in ages! Looks like you gals will inspire me to dust it off!

Starting April 1st, I'm going to be a "single woman" (just ending a 10yr marriage) so I've decided to end my gym membership to save the monthly fees. Which means that March 23rd will be my last day at the gym, so I have a month to really use it!!! Gonna try to get in there - the spin classes will really help, I'm sure!

I really want to get one of those exercise balls to do my ab routine on and core training.

I have the Winsor Pilates DVDs and the Turbo Jam dvds, I have Bowflex, a workout bench, free weights and a recumbent bike. But my favourite workout is to run outside. I'm not a big fan of the treadmill - would rather have the wind and change of scenery.

One of my new years resolutions is to run a half marathon in 2007. I was going to enter the one in April. We'll see.

I also want to do the Walk To End Breast Cancer in September which is a 60km walk over two days. My goal is to raise $5,000. That one I can for sure train for, even with my daughter, because I can walk with her in the stroller.

So, that's a little bit about me. I have about 70 pounds to lose, and would like to do that for the summer. Hopefully you fitness-fiends will keep me in line!

Looking forward to posting here more often!
