Today was the first time on the treadmill since January! My knee felt ok but I kept it to 10 minutes because I started to get a few twinges. I kept it slow, too. But it's better than not at all. I'm thinking that I can do 2-3 ten minute sesisons a day and see how that goes.

I don't think I'll ever be able to do some good fitness walking on it anymore but at least I'm moving. And I get the major cardio workout on my bike where I don't have any problem with speed!

I'm just happy to be able to use the treadmill again. It's only 2 years old and even though DH uses it now and then, we bought it mainly for me. DS would like to use it but it's in the basement and he's too tall (6'6"), we have low ceilings down there! He tried it once but had to keep his head ducked down. So he sticks to walking outside!

I'm going to wait to see how my knee feels later today and if it's good, I'll do another 10 minutes.

Welcome mamagiff!!

I did A LOT of chores. Went through all our clothes, closets....donated an overflown car full of stuff and threw out lots of junk. Yeah!! It was a great workout. We live on the 3rd floor in our apartment building and my legs hurt running things out to the car when I was done.

I got out for my first official bike ride yesterday (17.11 miles) and had another ride today (16.41 miles). It felt good to be riding again!

Later today I'll be doing the muscle workout - weights, crunches, kettlebell and an Intergrated Movement Training routine (it's short and easy!)

I'll be weight training today with you mamagiff. Usually takes about 30 minutes to get through my upper body workout. I just do it in front of the TV. I did 90 minutes on my elliptical earlier today. Woo hoo! Now I'm walking on my treadmill of a slow speed of 2 mph while checking my e-mails.

Still a bit windy here for me to bike, but I did fitness walk:
55min/3.08 milses/257 cal burn/avgsp 3.32mph.

tomorrow is a work day, so probably will be exercise day off; depends on what the weather is doing when I get home.

I got a bike ride after thinking I'd miss out due to the weather. I took the chance and got a 15.74 mile ride! Slower than usual because I chose a route that is hilly but easier to get home in case of rain. It's not warm enough yet to be soaked on a bike ride!

Hi! I just finished a 17.09 mile bike ride, still have to do weights, etc. but have a hair appt. shortly so will do them after my hair is done.

Found out today that I'm going to have to have my gallbladder removed soon. I hope it doesn't interfere with my biking too much! I'll know more after my consultation with the surgeon next week.

After this weekend is over, I will have a little more time to be online and I'll add an avatar and stuff....I don't like being so plain!

Shelley - Great job!!!
-
Mamagiff - You'll have to keep us posted on your recovery. My dad had his removed 15 years ago or so and he is doing fine.
-
Today I did 1 hour elliptical, 1 hour treadmill and 30 minutes of weight training.

It's too windy for biking today so I'll be doing the weights workout I leaked out on yesterday.

I'm going out of town all day tomorrow - DS#2 is getting married in a civil ceremony in order to get her covered on his health insurance and then they will still have the planned church wedding and reception in Sept. like originally planned. It's a 6 hr. drive there, we'll stay for a couple of hours and then have to come back.

We are having a rummage sale at SIL's house on Saturday and then in the afternoon, her DD is having her first commion and party. It's going to be a busy few days and I'll be pooped on Sunday! But I'm hoping there is good weather on Sunday so I can go out for a bike ride! I'll need it!

What a busy weekend Mamagiff! Hope it is a nice one.

Today I did 90 minutes on the elliptical. I'm on an April sprint to the end walking challenge. Because I relaxed this morning I had to work hard this evening to get caught up. Rest day May 1st! Until then I will TRY to sprint away....
