| realizing that I really need more exercise, I bought Richard Simmons Sweating to the oldies dvd' set of 5 dvd's... Sat, and Sunday I did water volleyball hour each day... also, yesterday did 1/2 hour of sweatin' #1, this morning I got up and did 35 min of sweatin#2... might try to get in more this afternoon, but am working on days I dont do aqua aerobics, will do richard in the am... (pool is closed this week so I am planning on doing him every day) thats it for now. c ![]()

| I just had a 21.37 mile bike ride and I'm getting ready to go downstairs to do weights. It was a windy ride again so I got a really good workout!

| Oh Shelley...I didn't realize that shopping burned calories! lol In that case I must have burned a lot of them on Saturday while in town. Tonight I'll be back on the treadmill. I'll report tomorrow what happened. (something had better happen, my weight is going in the wrong direction)

| Last night I walked the dogs first then came home and got on the treadmill. 35 minutes...3.5 mph....1.7 miles. I know that doesn't seem long but that's what the Prevention Walking Challenge told me to do. It's probably a good thing it wasn't any longer cause I haven't been on the treadmill since Thursday night and my muscles were actually pretty sore.

| Wow you guys!! I'm so happy this is a busy thread. It certainly is a good threat to be active in! - I just got off the elliptical after an hour. Tonight I plan on upper body weight training. |

| rain and storms...all night and all day...more rain and more storms moving in...these may become tornadic later this evening, so exercise day off for me. It's gonna be a long night........ happy trails.........

| But I hear that dodging hail and running from tornadoes is FANTASTIC exercise Shelley. ![]() Today I did 90 minutes on the elliptical. Normally I wouldn't do so much but I'm on a cinco de maio (sp?) challenge through Friday. I have to get in 25K each day or more on my pedometer. Hard work! |

| Hey linda, We had 2 possible small tornadoes in the N-NE metro yesterday around 5-6PM...right at rush hour...YIKES! They are not sure they were twisters, because it was rain-wrapped, but there was a wall cloud with rotation and lowering, so.... The folks in the apt complex that was damaged said definitely yes, it was a small 'nado. Some trees up-rooted, and about 5,000 customers without electricity for a while last night. Our side of town only got some rain and high winds, but the tornado sirens went off anyway. Sooooo...knowing the weather guys were pretty pre-occupied with the NE storm, I did go out and take a look at the clouds, but wasn't concerned about anything I saw. Good ole OOOOklahoma weather! Keeps ya on yer toes, especially during 'nado season! OK...I DID get to walk this morning! Had to dodge some pretty big puddles, but, it's a done deal. walked: 1 hr/3.32miles/281 cal burn/avgsp 3.22mph STBO...off to hit the shower! happy trails.......

| Shelley, that's scary....we had a tornado come through our area in January! It did some big damage not too far from us and was actually coming right toward our house and suddenly veered east about a mile south of us! Not sure what I'll be doing for a workout today. Way too windy for biking outdoors so I guess I'll spend some time on the indoor bike. I'm working on a goal of 1000 miles on the indoor bike by August. I'm at 777 miles right now. The problem is that when it gets nice out, I ride outside instead so I may not reach the goal if I don't get some miles inside!
