hot and windy this morning...blech!
walked/jogging sprints: 58 min/3.43 miles/220 cal burn

I'm thinking about brining my BIG exer-ball into the computer room and using it for a chair; would definitely get some *core* work in while on the 'puter. (if I didn't fall off of it, that is...)

happy trails.....

Thanks for the bike exercise class help I did the list and am not ready to tackle it right now. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and weight machines. I am also taking the stairs at work now as well instead of the elevator most of the time now. Which is an accomplishment in itself.

I ended up with an outdoor ride yesterday after all! The weather cleared by the time I got home so I went! I planned on about 11-12 miles because it was already after 5 p.m. but it was so nice out that I kept going and got 20.11 miles instead! Dinner was late!

Today the weather won't be clearing so I'm going downstairs in a few mintues to workout....

I'm off now to do some trail walking-probably for 45 -60 minutes. A bit moist out there, but I won't melt. I'm going to have to challenge myself to move more when I'm not out walking-my daily step count is pathetic.

Lisa,
I almost always find when I'm in a quandry over what to do...if I make a list of pros and cons, it helps! Good for you on stepping up the exercise on your own. Keep up the good work!

And speaking of good work...looks like this group is takin' name and kickin' booty in the exercise done column!!! GOOD JOB EVERYONE!!!

walked: 54 min/3.32 miles/182 cal burn. May possibly take tomorrow as exercise day off. My legs got really tight at about 2 miles out, so I think I need to let the ole muscles rest tomorrow. We'll see.

happy trails.....

Today I'm taking the treadmill out for a spin and doing at least 60 minutes on it. After this I'll do upper body weight training.

We've got inclement weather again so no riding outdoors for me. I'll be biking downstairs at some point today....

Took a 45 minute spin around the lake at a local park this morning-was going to try for 60 minutes, but the wind and rain did me in. Will do 20 minutes on the elliptical this afternoon.

Well, the rain held off but it was really windy. I got an idea to set up my indoor bike out in the driveway and enjoy the outdoors without battling the wind on my outdoor bike. After the 45 minute workout of setting the whole thing up, I had a good half hour on the bike enjoying the fresh air, looking at the nice view from my driveway and listening to some music that I used to walk to. It was a great workout! I'll definitely be doing this again! I finished about 5 minutes before the downpour!

2nd exercise day off was yesterday. I wish I had gone ahead and walked after grocery shopping, but it was sooooo incredibly windy...ack...plus my allergies were off the richter scale!

anyhooo...walked this morning and my leg muscles were so tight...aarrgghhh. It took me the first mile alone to *loosen* up.
walked: 60 min/3.59 miles/199 cal burn....STBO!!!!

still windy, hot and humid...ack! Off to shower and clean me!

happy trails......

Shelley-ugh-that humidity-I really feel for you. I remember those wonderful NYC summers growing up-95 degree heat and 99% humidity. Hope things cool down for you soon.
I went walking at the Nature Preserve that's a few miles up the road this morning. Did a 5 mile hike that included some steep hills. Am feeling very righteous and quite sore right now-lol!

Kat...you go girl!!! A 5 mile-er, eh??? wOOt!!!
Linda and, Lisa, you too!!! You guys are workin' the plan, fer shure!!! LOL!

Myself, on the otherhand, not so much! I stepped out the back door into the DARK garage this morning and somehow hurt the top of my foot! Crum!!! I didn't twist it, at least not that I felt, but definitely did something weird, because when I walk I can feel pain in the top of the foot. Soooooooo.......NO walk for me today, plus it's been storming and raining most of the day. If the foot is still *touchy* tomorrow, then perhaps I can bike. This is just crazy...not to mention it's really hackin' me off BIG TIME!!!! Grrrrrr! Always something!(I do NOT even want to hear *getting older* jokes....hehe!)

happy trails.....
