Shell-Hope you don't have a stress fracture. I once stepped off a curb and felt this awful pain on the top of my foot and it was a stress fx. I broke my bone by just walking! Who knew? Anyway, it's not that uncommon in the festively plump or in athletes.(Guess which category I fell under?) Hope your foot feels better real soon.

Working on 25,000 which I should reach before bedtime. Did an hour on the treadmill, short walk with my ds, cleaning and then 30 minutes of upper body weight training.

I did weights, crunches and a half hour on the rebounder last night. Back to the full workout with weights for the first time since surgery (can't believe 4 weeks have passed already!).

I'm going to try to get out for an early bike ride this morning.

Just finished a 60 minute walk and will take another 15 minute walk after lunch. Very cool and misty here the last few days. My brother called and said that NYC hit 99 degrees yesterday, and the humidity was horrible. I hope all of you who are suffering through high heat and humidity get some relief soon.

Hi guys!
Everyone is doing GGGGRRRREAT on the exercise!!! A BIG ^5 to all!!!

Kat...that was the first thing I thought of yesterday morning! ack! I thought, oh great...that's all I need is a stinkin' stress fx that will take 6 weeks or more to get over. But.......
got up this morning, and just a little ping in the top of the foot, and by the time I made the bed, did brekki and put on a load of laundry, it was fine. Soooooooo........I walked. Started out a little slower just in case I got a mile or two out and it decided to ACT UP. But, it did not! yay!
So....walked 60min/3.54 miles/196 cal burn. STBO!!!! Our humidity is about the same as our temp this morning....in the hi 70s.

happy trails...........

Last night was my Jillian Michaels exercise tape ... then got on the treadmill while waiting for the wash to finish so I could put it in the dryer. I was rewarded by losing the weight I had gained over the weekend.

I got out for a 20.21 mile bike ride this morning! Finally! The weather is good - 72 and sunny for a change. And a good wind which made the ride a little more challenging!

I'm going to do a yoga dvd tonight.

Today I'm trying to just stay on my feet nonstop with chores (except a short nap) and then some dancing this evening to CMT. Working to get in my daily steps!

Oh yeah, kids and I had a short walk too.

Looked like I wasn't going to reach my daily step goal so got on the elliptical for an hour.

I have to say Heather that you do inspire me. 60 minutes on the elliptical? I did 25 minutes a few days ago and huffed and puffed and pissed and moaned so much I even embarassed myself. I see from reading these posts that long walks, bike rides, and hour-long elliptical sesssions are indeed doable. Spurs me on-thanks.
Just got back from a 45 minute walk-more walking after lunch-maybe 20 minutes instead of 15. Woo-Woo!

These things need to be worked on for sure. I remember my first bike ride since I was a teenager my behind and thighs ached for legs. I was so excited when I got my bike that I thought I could keep up with Shelley and ride for an hour. lol

Today I'm off to do an hour on the elliptical and then 30 minutes of weight training. Going to get my fit on.

I've never even been on an elliptical! I haven't belonged to a gym since the early 90's and I've always biked or walked. Now that I can't do fitness walking I was thinking of looking into getting an elliptical for here but I think the ceiling downstairs where I could put it might be too low....

I went for a bike ride this morning - 20.22 miles. I'll be doing weights soon...

Guys-I love that so many of you are bikers. I haven't ridden a bike since I was a kid, but I've decided that I want to start up again. But, always a but!, I remember reading in my newspaper a few months ago that you need to be under a certain weight to bike. Doesn't sound quite fair but I guess us larger gals could flatten the tires. Do any of you know if that's true-where any of you still in the 200+ weight when you started biking? I can always use this as an incentive to lose more weight if need be.
