I got out for a bike ride today - 18.90 miles. If I had been paying better attention to the mileage, I would have done enough to get at least 20 miles!

well, compared to your mileage, Linda, my rides look wimpy! LOL! So...GOOD JOB on those 18 miles!!!

The blister on my toe was better, so I thought I take a chance and fitness walk. I *greased* it (the blistered toe) up with antibiotic ointment and put on a pair of thicker socks. I think it's OK...definitely took the shoes and socks off the second I got home.

walked: 60min/3.38 miles/203 cal burn

happy trails.......

Shelley, my rides right now have been short! I usually do at least 20-30 miles most rides and longer on weekends when DH has time to go with me. We hope to get some good, long rides this summer but he's working a lot on weekends and has National Guard, too. So I may not get the really longs ones too many times this year. Last years longest ride was 64 miles! That was a killer! I have some great muscles under the protective layer of fat!

Took a 30 minute walk early this morning. Saw a beautiful red-gold fox with 2 kits playing in the meadow. I'm a little down on myself because I was walking 60 minutes before I got sick and still feel a little too wobbly for that. I'm sure I'll feel stronger soon. Am off to one of our state parks this morning so I'll get some more walking in then.

Last night I tried out my new Jillian Michaels' exercise tape. That woman is crazy!! The things she wants me to do on level 1 make me think level 3 is waaaayyy out of my reach. I'm going to stick with it though. A little sore today, but not too bad. Weather is the pits so no walking outside for me.

I got out for a 27.56 mile bike ride this morning. It was a good ride but I was beat when I got home. I think it was more from having to get up at 4 a.m. to take DH to the airport than from the long ride. I took a 3 hour nap when I got back!

I did weights before the bike ride. I upped the amount of weight for each exercise and did one set. Still not as much as I did before surgery but I'm taking it slow to get back to that. I'll do one set at the weight I used today for the rest of this week and next week before adding another set.

Hiked for 45 minutes yesterday at Tryon State Park-after a 30 minute am walk. Took a short 20 minute walk this am and will hit the elliptical trainer for 15-20 minutes later.

I did a half hour on the bike downstairs today. Too windy for outdoor riding.

Shelley, I hardly ever nap but it was just the combination of the long ride, the getting up so early with little sleep that did me in! I'm lucky to be home alone most of the afternoon and evening so I can do it if I need to. My kids are adults and only one lives here. He's home later in the evenings but I don't really have to "take care" of him. So my time is my own to fill with workouts, chores, whatever....and with DH out of town...I have even more free time now!

Cut the grass
Walked the dogs
40 minute extra walk in the neighbour hood
20 minutes Jillian Michaels' exercise tape

Scale went up .5 lb. this morning...go figure!

I'll be biking in the basement again today....darn weather! I'll do a set of weights exercises while I'm down there, too! Can't get to it till later because I have to go to town this morning.
