| I've noticed that when I'm on induction I have far less stamina when it comes to weight training. Is it just me or is this a common issue? |

| It is a common issue during induction. Generally most folks find that they're back to their usual stamina when doing the ongoing stage. On the other hand, Dr. Bernstein (a type one diabetic and champion of a very low carb lifestyle) has done regular weight training for most of his life. He's quite elderly (which is already a rarity for a type 1 diabetic) but is extremely fit, energetic and vigorous. Given his metabolic status, his regular eating regimen is not much more than induction carb levels. So, it may just be a matter of gradual adjustment.

| I almost passed out during induction during a workout. I had to ask my son to get me a small glass of juice to keep me from collapsing. I have learned to eat my largest portion of carbs about 15-20 minutes prior to my workout. Seems to be doing the trick. Then I pace the rest out during the day. ![]() |
