Saturday I did an hour on the elliptical and then some walking on the treadmill. Sunday I decided on a day off. Today I did 30 minutes curves, 30 minutes elliptical and then doing some time here on the treadmill getting caught up with e-mails. Have a great week everyone!

Shelley - I hear you on the minimal holiday damage this year with unwanted weight. My next day "off" is going to be Thanksgiving. Even then I plan to try to make healthy choices, maybe even go sugar free this year, and then keep up the exercise. / Fantastic steps!! 41.90 miles!! Wowee!
-
mamagiff - You have been doing a fantastic job keeping up the exercise!
-
Lucy - Burning calories with the machete. I hope you did it with wild hair and some good grunting.

Thanks, it's the one thing that I can always keep up with and be consistent with! And I enjoy it!

We went to do weights this morning and then after lunch I went for a 22 mile bike ride. Wanted to go a bit more but it's overcast and was getting darker and I don't have a headlight on my bike so I came home.

I still hope to get the kettlebell workout in a little bit. I missed doing it all last week because of my knee so I'll do the easiest dvd today to see how it goes.

I got out for a 16.31 mile bike ride today which put me over 1000 miles for the season! Then I went to the fitness center and did 20 minutes each on the cross trainer and the bike. I had to use the upright bike this time because a guy got on the recumbent bike about 2 minutes before I finished on the cross trainer! I like the recumbent much better than the upright bike....oh well! At least I got my workout!

have a fun weekend, Linda!

still was raining off and on today, so what I thought was a window of *opportunity* to walk, I took it. Well, the window wasn't very long...I only got 52 minutes of walking in before it started to sprinkle pretty good. Since it was only 51 degrees, I decided it might behoove me NOT to get wet & COLD.
Sooooo....
walked: 52 min/ 3.27 miles/ 181 cal burn/ 6,908 fitness steps.

happy trails....

We went to the fitness center this morning and I did 20 minutes each of the cross trainer and the recumbent bike.

I've been trying to decide what I want to do for the weekend workouts because I really don't want to take 3 days off. So I figure if I get up early tomorrow, I can get my kettlebell workout before we go and that will be my muscle work (Fridays are muscle days). DH packed my bike in the car to take along so Sat. and Sunday I'll get a ride (maybe Friday afternoon, too!). I may even throw in the yoga dvd to use if I feel the need.

Woooo it was a bit nippy this AM when me and my doggie jogged/walked our prairie path route. At least the sun was out and the chill made me move faster.

It was a little chilly here in OOOOklahoma this morning when I headed out to walk.
Over dressed(like I usually do....darn it!)
At the start of my 2nd mile, I turned down my street and flung my polar-fleece vest upon the porch and kept hoofing it. hehe.

walked: 83 min/ 5.19 miles/ 288 cal burn/ 10,975 fitness steps

fitness miles walked to date for October= 55.40 miles

happy trails......

Hi Everyone! I'm enjoying my weekend away, got a nice but cold bike ride this morning and plan on another ride tomorrow before we head home. I need some exercise before I have to sit in the car for 4 hours again!

Hi there.. I am new to this site. But I am personal trainer as a hobby and I went to National Academy of Sports Medicine. If you want to strenghten you knee, you need to build up your quads and hamstrings, those muscles help support the knee. As long as you don't have bone on bone issues. Doing exercises at the gym that will build up those two muscles should make you feel better. Just start out with really light weight for a month and do high reps. like 20-25 at a time.. Good luck.
