October '08 exercise accountability

"Just-Do-It Exercise Club" at Low Carb Diet Support: "I went and did weights today as well as 20 minutes on the recumbent bike. I figured out why I was so sore yesterday....I had added another set plus more weight to my weights workout ...."

I went and did weights today as well as 20 minutes on the recumbent bike. I figured out why I was so sore yesterday....I had added another set plus more weight to my weights workout on Wed. as well as doing the cross trainer and the kettlebell workout. They are all shorter workouts but added up to a lot of extra leg work in one day. Then yesterday the cardio just added more. Felt much better today but won't push it like that again!

wow...looks like I didn't post my walk yesterday, but I did it!!
Saturday: walked 83 min/5.29 miles/>10,000 fitness steps

today, walked with weights: 79 min/ 4.92 miles/ 273 cal burn/ 10,403 fitness steps

total fitness miles walked for October = 86.38 miles
I think, just maybe, I might get 100 miles in this month. Gonna keep on keepin' on!!

Wow, Shelley! Those miles are really adding up! I sure miss walking when I see how well you are doing!

I went and did weights and the recumbent bike today....it was a great workout!

I took my dog to the woods for a change. Have been avoiding it as she is a tick magnet. Glad we went early.....it snowed abit this afternoon.

LOL...Linda!...I was kinda surprised how many miles I had walked in October until I started adding them up. I've always been a *walker* since about 1986 or so. Several times though, I've been side-lined, for extended periods of time, I might add(once for over 18 months!) with the dreaded Plantar Faciitis...ack!
That's why I ended up biking like a mad woman last summer
But, now....KNOCK ON WOOD....I'm back to the fitness walking.
I may have to decrease my miles per day next month; I've noticed little twinges of heel pain, and I sooooooo do NOT want to go there again.
LOL....well, you certainly didn't ask for all that now, did ya??

Congrats, Shelley!!! It's such a great feeling to reach a goal, isn't it?!

I did weights this morning but wasn't able to do the arm stuff because we had an appt. to drop off the truck for repair. I'll do the arm stuff here in a little while along with some time on the indoor bike. I've got 2 months to get 170 miles to complete my goal of 1000 indoor miles for 2008. Since I don't do indoor biking unless the weather is bad, it takes a while!

I did my walk/jog through the frosty woods this am. Rita chased a deer.

Heading downstairs to do the evil Jari Love dvd, or at least half of it....

I did 20 minutes each on the cross trainer and the recumbent bike this morning. Will be doing the kettlebell workout later today. I was hoping for a bike ride but it's extremely windy again today...

Congrats on all those miles, Shelley!!!

I did weights and the recumbent bike this morning at the fitness center....I've been doing errands all afternoon and now it's chores time! I thought about maybe doing some biking downstairs tonight but I may not get to it....
