| I had my knee appt. and got the first of a series of 3 shots. I hope these work....I also discussed what exercises I can do and not do. Looks like any machines that work quads are out now. He said to stick with biking and elliptical for quad work. So that's what I'll be doing.

| I went for a workout....did 5 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the bike....did the hip weight machines. That's it for today... The knee is feeling about the same which is what they told me to expect. It will take a few weeks after the shot to feel really good....I hope this works!

| no walk yesterday....yeppers...more rain, then just a generally soggy day. however.... Today I walked!!! 63 min/ 3.85 miles/ 214 cal burn total fitness miles walked in May = 19.63 ![]() happy trails....

| I had a busy weekend with no workouts....by choice. I wanted to rest the knee and elbow. I'll be going today for a workout - upper body weights using lighter weights and then cardio later today...not sure what I'll do for cardio yet. My knee seems to be feeling better, I hope it's not just wishful thinking!

| I did some cardio today - recumbent bike and the cross trainer plus some lower body weights....going for shot #2 after breakfast tomorrow!

| Have to take it easy today....may do some light biking on the recumbent bike at the fitness center if I have time....we're going away for the weekend and I've got a lot to do today and tomorrow. Can't tell yet if there is much of a difference in my knee...they said it may be a few weeks before I can tell for sure...

| Well, I'm back! No exercise while I was gone....we went to the fitness center today and I did some time on the upright bike, the recumbent bike and the hip machines. Going for my last shot in my knee tomorrow...the dr. said that I should feel noticable relief in about a month after the last shot....I hope it works...I'd love to be able to do some walking again!

| Good luck, Linda! Sure hoping the injections work for you. ![]() I'm sure your doc has told you, but with joints(knees, elbows, hips, shoulders), the old exercise adage, "no pain...no gain", does NOT apply. Take it slow, girlfriend...if it hurts...back off, give it a rest, then start again at a lower/slower rate. Being young and fearless, (in my 30's) that's what got me 2 blown elbows! I know better now.... walked today:62min/ 3.88miles/ 215 cal burn total fitness miles walked in May = 49.33 miles I maybe in-communicato for the rest of the month. Appts and spring cleaning is taking priority for the rest of the week. See ya in the June thread! take care and happy trails.....
