| Isn't May supposed to be warm and sunny?! I suppose I shouldn't complain...it's up to the low 50's now. Upper body weights today and still need to do pushups and cardio...

| I did some time on the indoor bike yesterday and got out for a real bike ride today before the wind picked up too much! I was able to get out for a 15 mile ride! Yay!

| Yesterday was upper body weights....tried the new hula hoop for a few minutes....it's going to take some time to be able to do it...I'm kinda dorky! Today I will be doing lower body weights and some cardio if there is a bike available while I'm there. I think I want to try the elliptical again to see if my knee is ok on it...I'll take it slow and get off if it hurts at all.

| Bummer, Shelley....I got out on my bike and just as I left the driveway the sprinkles started so I didn't go....nothing came of it but I didn't have time to go again. Now the wind has picked up and I checked the weather site...rain will be here soon. I did upper body weights and pushups this morning...played with the hula hoop a bit....will do it again in a while. I think I'll do some kettlebell stuff for some cardio today.

| shhhhhhhh.........don't tell, but......... I got to walk today!!! it's been sooooo long, I felt like I did something illegal! ![]() almost a *splash & dash* as I had to walk in between T-storms and showers, but I got 'er done!!! yay!! ![]() walked: 58 min/ 3.56 miles/ 198 cal burn total fitness miles walked in May = 11.68 miles happy trails.....

| Yay, Shelley!!! Glad you finally got a walk! I often feel like that when I finally get a ride! I miss walking, too. Yesterday was upper body weights....didn't do anything else. I seem to be more sore than usual so I took a rest day today and will also take one tomorrow.....except maybe for some hula hoop time. If it doesn't feel better by Monday, I'm going to lighten things up a bit for a week or so. The soreness is not the usual workout soreness but more like I pulled a muscle or something and also my knees are more sore than usual. I'm calling the knee dr. on Monday since now the pain is starting to interfere with my workouts.

| Happy Mother's Day to all the exercise Moms!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh gosh, Linda. Hope you didn't pull a muscle; it took me well over 9 weeks (boo & hiss) to recover from a groin muscle injury. Take care of the knees also, OK? This being over 50 jazz kinda stinks the BIG one, eh?? I think I've been showing signs of a little *touch* of arthritis in my neck! Sheeesh!!! My squeaky joint saga continues..... (it's really NOT funny, but I refuse to sit around and cry about it, yanno??? LOL!) I will cry about our weather though....wahhh...... another rainy, gray, and very chilly day!!! I want some sunshine and nice 70 degree days!!! sooooooo.......NO walk today unless something changes BIG TIME!!!

| Happy Mother's Day! I had planned on a day off but DH wanted to go work out so I went along. Did a lower body weights workout (lightened up on the weights) and some time on the recumbent bike. I agree this over 50 stuff stinks! The elbow area is still sore...it's a muscle or tendon or something along the inside of my elbow. I'll be lightening up on the amount of weight I use on the upper body workouts all week to be on the safe side. I'll even take time off from weights if I have to. As for the knees, I'll be calling tomorrow for an appt. to find out what the next step is. The pain is a bit worse and it's starting to interfere with my workouts and even my daily routines. The dr. mentioned a series of shots the last time I saw him. If it will help, I'll gladly do it! Other than that, all is well for the most part....had water in the basement today due to a pipe from the well rusting through. Thankfully DH is able to fix stuff like that! The weather is not good here, either. In the 40's and gloomy today. Sprinkles off and on. Where is spring????

| MORE rain!!! I think I'm developing a whopping case of SAD!!(seasonal affective disorder) It will stop raining for an hour or so, but the streets never dry out...it's a continual run off of water and most of the sidewalks in our sub-division are covered in water as well(like probably an inch or so). Blech! Good Luck with the knees, Linda. Keep us posted, regardless, OK? off to mope...or play more mah-jong...LOL! happy trails(if your trails aren't underwater like ours....)

| I did lower body weights today along with some time on the indoor bike...and a few minutes with the hula hoop....someday I'm going to be able to do it for more than a minute or two! I have an appt. tomorrow morning for my knee! Couldn't believe I got in so fast....hope it goes well!
