Busy weekend, no workouts...yesterday was "light" weights day...which really only means lighter than the other weights days but not really light! It was a good workout but hard...today will be cardio of some sort....not sure if I'll go to the gym or do it here...it's a beautiful day but looks like it might be too windy for a ride...

I don't know if I am really ready to be held accountable but here I am signing up I confess I am a lazy gasoline a**. That is what my friends call me and I'll own up to it. I drive everywhere!! I want to become more active but just can't seem to get motivated to do so. September is almost over but it is never too late to start.

I've hired a personal trainer and will be meeting with him for the first time on Tuesday. I am hoping to getting moving with him and then to start doing on my own. Wish me well!

Hi Auntie

I wish you the best with meeting your new trainer and then going into your own regimine. I know you can do it! You exercised before. Remember we exercised in the basement to that old tape? I love that workout! What is her name? But I do love Leslie as well! Her DVDs work for me. But I am proud that you are taking the first step in becoming more active. It will be great for you! I am doing Leslie everyday, though I must admit, I do get tired and have to go at my own pace, but I will get better at it. I want to join the gym next month. I would like to try water aerobics. My mother lost about 70 lbs doing water aerobics back in 02/03. She was 250 lbs and went down to 180. So I think I'll take them too! And also I'd like to ride the bike and treadmill.

Good Luck and let me know how things turn out for you with the PT. Love you!

Hello Everyone

Right now, my routine is Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds DVDs. I love the versality and I also love that I can walk in home and still lose weight. Since the weather is breaking, I'd rather walk in the house, but a nice, brisk walk is good too. I think for the next couple of weeks, I will try to get outside and walk as well as my dvd. The problem is my back. I can't walk 2 blocks without my back being in excrutiating pain. Since I've gained about 15 lbs, my back has been in bad shape. But with the DVD, I can go at my own pace. Stop and start when I want. I feel like I am not ready for the gym yet. I am preparing myself now. I don't want to go to the gym with my back in the shap that it is right now. Once I drop about 15 or 20 lbs, I'll join. I want to do water aerobics a few times a week as well as daily treadmill and bicycle use. I also want to do some weight and resistance training. A personal trainer would be nice, but I can't afford one right now, so I'll have to do it on my own.

Today (Sunday) I am going to do 30 mins of in-home walking and try to go walking outside as well.

Went to the personal trainer for the first time yesterday. Did an assessment and am not as out of shape as I thought I was...so says the trainer.

We worked out with:

Kettle bells
Free weights
3 pieces of equipment that I don't remember the name of
Ball
Bands

Also did some floor work.

I was beat when I left but did manage to walk today. I go back to the trainer tomorrow so I need to go get my gear packed.

G'night!!
