Salad Help! I need tips on exercise

I am currently 280 lbs. I am not new to exercising. I love to exercise! The problem is I've gained 15 or lbs over the summer which henders me from walking long distances. I know it is the weight that is causing the back pain because before I gained the 15 lbs, I was able to walk long distances and exercise and never experienced back pain.

The extra weight is on my thighs, around my lower back and buttock areas. It is really hard for me to walk 2 blocks let alone exercising. I am looking for something I can do that wont be hard on my back so I can get back down to a weight where I can go to the gym and use the equipment, but right now my back is too bad. I tried to do my routine, which I have been doing for about 2 years. Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds and was so discouraged because I couldn't even do the whole mile. 2 months ago I was doing 2 miles a day, moving toward 3 miles. Now I can only do 10 minutes of the DVD before my back starts aching. Please help! I am very depressed that I cannot go for long walks which I love and do my exercise routine.

I was thinking of joining a water aerobics club or program. I hear it's mild exercise for very overweight people like myself. Any suggestions. Walking is out of the question right now and I can't do any type of tapes. I am able to ride a bike but I don't have one right now. I am open to any other suggestion. Thanks everyone!

What about just putting on some music and dancing? That's always fun and a good workout...

I'm about the same weight and do a lot of different things because I have a gym membership as well as lots of home equipment. I mostly bike (indoors and outdoors) and do weights....
