YIKES!!!!!!!! October already!!! Where has this year gone???
Wherever it went, it went in a hurry!! LOL!
As we prepare for upcoming holidays and the fall and winter season, let's keep on keepin' on with our exercise plans!
For some of us, if the weather is bad, outdoor exercise comes to a screaching halt. I'm really going to try to go to *plan B* this winter, which for me, will be WATP 3 and 4 mile video, when it's to cold or icey to walk n run outside.

C'mon gang...let's keep movin' and a groovin'

Went to the personal trainer today and am up to 50lb of weight on the rowing machine. I hate sqauts...my legs hurt and so do my arms but I am sticking with the routine. Also, started walking more on the days I am not with the trainer. Walked a mile so far twice this week! I think I could learn to make this exercise thing a part of my daily life. Did I just say what I think I said??? Egads...there is definitely something to this exercise stuff :-)

Good luck on the bootcamp Linda, sounds like a great challenge.

Lifted some free weights at home yesterday. Didn't get in any walking...too much homework.

I survived Boot Camp! He showed me modifications I can do for a few of the exercises and I got a really good workout! There are only 2 others in the class so far so it was almost like having the trainer to myself...I'm already a little sore in a few places! Definitely did some exercises out of my comfort zone.

I did weights yesterday....it was a great workout, too!

due to a hard-drive crash on the server last night, yesterday's posts are gone. Dixie is doing her best to get us up to *warp speed* again.

sooooo
yesterday:
run 30 min - 2.46 miles
walked 6 min _ 0.40 mile(cool down lap basically)

and today:
run 20 min _ 1.86 miles
walked 13 min_ 0.61 mile

total fitness miles for October = 11.82 miles

happy trails.....

I'm not as sore as I expected after the boot camp class but I sure do feel it! I went and did weights this morning....

Going out with the girls tonight....it's been ages since I've done that!

No workout today as I apparently pulled a muscle in my back on Tuesday. Will soak it again tonight and hope to be able to do something physical tomorrow.

Hi Everybody,

Shelley invited me to join in this challenge, so here I am. Still a bit leery of committing to a group type thing, because I really just started, and I know how lazy I can allow myself to get.

Anyhow, I started walking this past Thursday (10/08), and managed to do 1/3rd of a mile. Then the heat and humidity got to me, but it was a start, so I wasn't unhappy.

Yesterday I managed a whole mile, which I did in two segments. I walked 1/2 mile. Took a small break, and then went out and did the other half. Today, I did another mile, and managed to get er done with almost no breaks (maybe a minute or two). It took me about 40 minutes, but now I feel like my work is done for today. If I squeeze in more, that's just the icing on the cake.

So, so far, my stats are:

Thursday, October 08 .333 miles
Friday, October 09 1.0 miles
Saturday, October 10 1.0 miles

Total = 2.333 miles

Welcome, Anne!
Glad you decided to join us! Absolutely no pressure...we're not a *DO OR DIE* group here! LOL!
If you get in ANY type of movement for the day, pop in and tell us! Heck, on days I don't run, I'll post a good calorie burn for cleaning house!...and believe me, scrubbing bathtubs and showers, vacuuming and mopping will burn some calories!

Didn't get to run yesterday...we had a light contiuous drizzle all day with temps in the low 50s, so I stayed in and sewed like a maniac! Almost have my 7th Christmas cardigan/jacket done! whew!!!

I'm looking to run later this morning, so I'll get back later with the mileage.

happy trails everyone!
