| the race is on towards the end of the year!! Zowie! Holidays are fast approaching...or should I say HYPERSPACING towards us!!! One thing remains constant...the need to take care of ourselves the best we can, and for me, that means exercise! I'm not doing to good of a job on that right now due to time restraint issues...ack! But I'm NOT giving up!!! Never, ever, never!!! Everyone keep on keepin' on...it's good for us!! happy trails....

| Wow! November already! I took the weekend off....lots going on. Went for bike time at the gym this morning. Can't wait till my house is back in order so my home workout stuff is usable again. Tomorrow is boot camp class and in the afternon I have an appt. with the ortho dr. about my knee. I'm going to see if he will do the replacement surgery after the first of the year. I'm tired of trying to work around the limitations and the pain. Time to get it taken care of!

| Hey you guys! I went to the gym today to try and level out the carbs from the dreaded halloween holiday... 5 minutes on the Elliptical (Have I told you that I hate that thing?) 30 minutes on the stationary bike doing intervals 30 minutes random lifting 10 minutes ab exercises in the pool Dry heat room and hot tub!! |

| Amy, the hot tub sounds wonderful! Good workout! I had my appt. yesterday and I'll be having knee replacement surgery after the first of the year...I had hoped January but DH will be out of town most of the month and it will be difficult to cooridinate things with him gone...so it appears that I'll be shooting for the beginning of Feb. instead. Boot camp class yesterday was good...the trainer had me doing mostly upper body stuff. He's really good about watching my knee and making sure I'm ok. Today was biking and cross trainer at the gym. I'm going to talk to trainer tomorrow about possible exercises to prepare for surgery...I want to be as fit as I can so recovery will hopefully be easier...ok, I'm dreaming there but I know that it's going to be hard and I'm ready for it!

| Boot camp class today! Phat, I love doing the kettlebell workouts! I haven't done them lately due to my knee but I can't wait to get back to them next spring after my surgery and recovery!

| The kettle bells are killing me...why are they so much harder than regular weights? I sprained something in my calf on Tuesday doing squats with the kettlebells. Feels better today but felt really, really tight yesterday. Took some motrin last night and that seemed to help. Tomorrow back to the kettlebells... Best of luck on your surgery!! |

| Back at the gym today. 20 minutes on the bike a full 10 minutes on the elliptical!!!! A lot of Ab workout on the machines and on my arms Pool exercises Hot Tub!!!!! I hope all goes well with your surgery. Be careful not to damage anything more with the exercises! |

| leg feels much better today and trainer helped me do some exercises to stretch it out. He alwasy has me warm up good before exercising but when I get tired during the exercies I know I don't stay on the heels of my feet. Will keep that in mind. Thanks! Enjoy your weekend ladies! |

| hi all! just flying by to say hey! Linda...sorry you are going to have to go through knee surgery, but glad you will have a NEW knee, girl! We'll be rooting for you! Keep us posted, OK? (only if you want to, though). Sounds like everyone else is doin' good! WTG!! I finally managed to get in a short run this morning. It had been 2 weeks since my last run! yikes! ran: 10 min_0.85 mile...boo & hiss! walked: 24 min_1.25 miles I am getting in 3-4 miles per day at work, but I'd rather be getting in fitness miles...sigh. Movement is good though. happy trails.....

| Thanks, Shelley! I will definitely update as things happen. Thankfully I can still do what I've been doing the past year or so....the trainer has been very helpful in making sure I don't overdo in the boot camp class and giving me advice for before and after the surgery. I will go into it as prepared as possible and work hard to do what needs to be done for the best recovery! Today was bike time at the gym....

| Killer boot camp class today - mostly chest and back work with a little leg and core work added in! Tomorrow is cardio....probably elliptical and bike unless my knee is bothering me.

| 30 minutes on the bike 30 minutes on the weight machines 10 minutes in the Arizona Dry heat room Pool Ab and Hip exercises HOT TUB!!! I'm really becoming addicted to sweating!!!!!!! |
