OK, I realize now I have to actually take them out of the box, put them together, and lift them up and down a few times! I've got those upper arms that go on waving good-bye after I've stopped moving my hand so that will be my first target area. Wish me luck!

Hi, Aderyn. Weight workouts are my favorite kind now. And I know at least eight different ways to work those triceps! You'll soon know them, too!

Go to www.collagevideo.com to find a whole lot of videos you can use with your new weights. I think it's more fun to workout with a "coach" on tape than to make up my own routines. YMMV!

Good suggestion, Barb! I just surfed over there and ordered their catalog.

Favorite upper body workouts, according to my buddies over at www.videofitness.com, include:

Kathy Smith's Secrets of a Great Upper Body
Cory Everson's Get Hard Arms and Shoulders
Cathe's Pyramid Upper Body (advanced!)
Cathe's Pure Strength series (advanced)

I like Margaret Richard. Her tapes are a bit pricey, but she emphasizes low weight, hi rep routines that'll really toast you! Find her at www.bodyelectrictv.com I own Getting Better (a seated workout, but not wimpy!), All My Best Volume One (two 30 min sessions), and Raising the Bar (using a bodybar--I love this!)

Of course, just about any issue of any women's fitness magazine (Shape, Fitness) will have an article featuring upper body/arm exercises. And you can find good weight training books at the library or bookstores. Take a look at the "Dummies" books. User friendly.

Best wishes!
