Sharron,
Congratulations on your tremendous progress.
I have been going to Curves since last Friday and by golly, that seems to be working pretty well. Used the BF tapes for the first time today. I loved the breathing exercises. As Skylark said some of the positions are very difficult for someone of my bulk. So I did all the ones I could 5x each. It was energizing. My intentions are to do BF every morning that I don't walk and Curves in the PM. We shall see.

MsCellany, I'm sorry I missed this! How is it going? Are you doing well and measuring?

Tomorrow I hope everything will work out so that I can measure -- haven't really for a couple of weeks!

Keep us posted

Blessings!

Sharron,
Actually, I have only gotten one other session in since I posted. (Busy week)I measured before the first time and will measure again at the end of December if I continue to do this 2-3x a wk.

I am so encouraged by all of your good work!

Since my post on the 17th, I have remained sick in bed for TWO SOLID WEEKS. Ugh! It's been awful!

So... here we are back around to PMS and next TOM, and I've put on five pounds from all the "comfort foods" I ate during my illness (when I could eat, which wasn't often). Ugh.

The goal now is to get 100% healthy (or even 70% would be a good start), begin BodyFlex, resume my daily walks, and get back down to sig weight by the end of 2003.

I'm still in an "okay place," emotionally, regarding my weight. My first Atkinsversary will be December 15th and I'm still way down from where I was a year ago. That's what I choose to focus on.

Anyway, wanted to check in and let y'all know that I'm totally happy for you all and do still plan to join in before too long. Also, I noticed they're opening a CURVES a couple of miles from home, so I'm going to do a little reading and see about joining there... lots of research to do. Good use of the little energy I have these days.

Cheers, everyone!

That is rotten that you've been sick!

(((hugs)))

I'm still BF'ing but have hit a minor snaffooo I wish I'd learn! I just can't eat MOST of the "low carb" products out there! I bought some of the chocolate CarbCountDown milk and some Atkins Bagels -- now I'm VERY bloated!

Oh, well, I know what to do...

It is still helping my back tremendously, though. I'm also looking at Curves. Waiting for some time to talk with dh more about it.

Blessings!

Thanks, Sharron. I'm feeling MUCH better today. *fingers crossed* I really appreciate the hugs.

Oh nooooo! Poor Sharron. Hang in there. You'll be back on top in no time. Sometimes we just have to have those lessons bang us over the head. Wish I could say it NEVER happens to me... but I have many, "Girl, you know better," talks with myself.

I'm looking into Curves too. We have one opening a couple of miles from here and I'd like to check it out and see how it FEELS. The reviews I've read seem generally good, but it's always a case of, "go in and see for yourself," with gyms of any kind.

And then there's the money issue. Ah, c'mon lotto! Hee hee.

Take good care, Sharron. XXOO

Yea, the $$ is the main issue for me at the moment. It is only something like $30 a month, but I just joined the health club so I can do swimming lessons with the kids. I know, "why don't you just go to the club?" Because it is an hour drive round trip!

So, now I'm waiting on dh.

It is an easy work out, though, Bon. I've been there several times teaching classes for my cookbook. The gals just whip in, do their workout and whip out. It is a series of circuits and the machines seem pretty easy. I'm hoping it will give me another edge on regaining my ab muscles that I've lost from too many pregnancies and too many surgeries!

Blessings!

I remember doing circuit training on hydraulic machines back in 1989 when I was a member at a great gym in college. I loved it!

The money is the big issue, and especially when I ask myself, "Hey, what makes you think you'd go to Curves if you spent the money when you're not out there taking a walk--which is free--every day?" I realize I've got other blocks with regard to exercise.

*sigh*

Working through them requires a lot of surrender on my part. Thanks for your support, Sharron.

I dont' know Bon, but for some folks the spending of the money is motivation enough cuz' they don't want to waste it...

Lynda,

I'm sorry I didn't answer. I didn't answer because I didn't know...

I haven't been able to BF for a few days now because my chiro thought I had broken my ankle. It is very painful, but we didn't see a break on the xrays today when I saw the MD. Still waiting on the radiologist report, but looks like it is just a very bad bonk! I'll be in a boot and crutches for a couple of weeks probably, but not 2 months like if it had been broken!

Blessings!

Hello BF Gang, I just found this thread today, after reading a comment made to a question about saggy skin. I usually aviod anything that has to do with exercise.

Your excitment and results sound really great. I am going to go to the web site and check it out.

I od have one question. Do you have to do it in the morning?

I will check back in after I do some research.

Kewl! Two new body flexers!

Susan, no, you don't have to do it in the morning, though I find I can do it better then. You just have to have not eaten for 2 hours is all.

It'll be great to have some other folks doing it too! I haven't been able to do mine for a week now, cuz' I hurt my ankle. As soon as I can bear weight again, I'll be back though!

Blessings!

I just paid for my tapes 2 days ago. I love Ebay! I can't wait for them to get here! I hope the older ones are as good as the new ones? I got the first 2 tapes. I just didn't want to pay $25.00 for the new ones if the older one was as good. I will have to see how it goes.

Sharron, I'm so sorry you hurt yourself. Take care of yourself and don't worry... I heard somewhere that if you are sick or injured you cannot gain weight. (Ok so I heard that in my mind, but still )
