Thanks Jen! I know all about metabolism and minimum calorie diets... they make premed students take an entire semester course on eating lol. Not to mention I had a friend who thought dropping her intake to 500 calories would help her lose weight. It did, but it was MUSCLE weight and her body was eating her organs. It's a mild form of anorexia when someone purposely limits their caloric intake to less than a healthy level!

Gia, recently someone who is an avid runner and exerciser was asking the same question. Kate Street, trainer, gave them some info on what to do. Look down the list for her name and you'll find what your looking for.
As I recall she explained why they could eat a lot more carbs than us regular exercisers!

Her answer is in Low Carb jumstarters and the person she gave info to was GIA. Is that you? or another GIA? Is this working for you?

Thanks jen, meganrose, and kelly. Meganrose, what u said about how bad it is to eat too little was really intense. I won't forget that. thank u. And yes kelly, that "gia" was me 2! Yes, Kate gave me some wonderful advice that has made all the difference. I am currently eating some low glycemic fruits in the morning (berries mostly) before workouts and also eating whenever hungry. So I still follow CAD but just with some added healthy carbs in the morning. It has really helped with my energy level. I'm me again! Unfortunately,my weight loss has actually slowed down since I added those carbs in the morning (an avg of a pound a week instead of 3 lbs a week) but my workouts are feeling great and I'm confident that I have to patient and I'll get down to my goal soon enuff.

Thanks for all the advice!

Gia...
