Jen, you were a HUGE motivation for me when I joined this board in late 2001 I think it was.
Gregg ... I am ready now. The only problem I am having is that it is REALLY hard to find fresh vegetables and salad stuff around here right now. I'll be starting lettuce seeds in another week or so, but until I can harvest that I am going to have to wing the induction phase as well as I can .....

So ... here goes ......

Wow, hi you guys! So nice to see you Jen, Anne, T, Gregg. I've been on a hiatus myself--Gregg and I are twins born of a different mother this year, LOL!!

T, I'd love to know if you hear from Meg.

Hi BC, Terese, good to see you again If you talk to Meg or Emelia, let us know. I was really rooting for Emelia when I was on here regularly before, I wonder if she reached goal?

Hey Monica! Yep, I had a boy, Sam, and he will be 9 months old on Monday. It's good to be back, and I will be glad to hit the WOE hardcore once I am done nursing. I may even do Induction for a month once I start.

Oh JEN, good to see you girl! I am thrilled you and your BABY are doing so well. WOW! Congrats on SAM, isn't he just everything to you?

So are you working out or just trying to watch what you are eating for now?

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd chime in here. Glad to see so many of the names that helped me reach my goal. I don't visit as often but I come back from time to time to stay inspired.

Things are good here. I struggled with maintenance for about a year and then it became second nature. I have been able to reduce my size from a 4 to a 0 with some additional gym work. I bought boobs and pierced my nose. Who knows what's next.

I found that maintenance was harder than losing the pounds. I sure identify with your struggles. I am a scale junky and that has helped me with accountability. I wish everyone the best!

Monica - Right now I am just trying to watch what I eat. I do plan to join the gym here at work, perhaps next month (easier to get motivated about working out as spring approaches). Plus, my husband and I are carpooling to work, and we are trying to get out the door in a timely fashion - until we can do that more consistently, I will not have time to work out in the AM. But I really am looking forward to starting on a lifting regimen again. I am thinking of breaking out my BFL book and getting back to doing the 12 week challenge (modified a bit - just working out M-F, so 3 days lifting, 2 days cardio, or vice versa - haven't decided yet). That could go a long way in reducing my size even if I can't eat totally LC yet.

Redell - Ya, maintenance is hard for the first year. I think that's why I did so poorly at it. I was going thru some personal crap right about the time that I started maintenance, and gave into food cravings, then the personal crap cleared up, and I was 20+ lbs over my goal weight, then I got pregnant, and, well, here I am again but this time (God I hate saying that), I am DETERMINED to get to goal and STAY THERE for a year before I get pg with kid #2.

Jen, since we last spoke before you got pregnant, I have joined a gym. I am really enjoying my lifting routine. I met with a personal trainer and she designed a workout just for me. I LOVE IT! I add a little variety with stuff at home and jogging when I can. All in all I get in somewhere between 5 and 8 hours of exercise a week. But I, like you only go to the gym M-F. I cannot justify leaving the kids on the weekend. But when it is warmer, we do go on bike rides and such. Anything to keep everyone moving. For me, well maintenance has been and up and down rollercoaster. Not sure I have it mastered, actually, NOT sure I will ever get it mastered. I do good for a while then NOT. But I am keeping right around the same 5 pound spread. Which is still about 10 pounds more than I should be! ARG! Never happy, is my constant state! LOL If you remember I have 2 children and they are ages 6 and 3 and that makes eating and exercise more challenging. I mean, LIFE HAS TO BE LIVED! And somedays the last thing I want to do is concentrate so hard on what I put into my mouth! KWIM?
