Not!! Oh I envy you guys! I go through this little dance every evening:
(Sitting and watching TV, 9:00 pm hits on the cable box)
Me: "I NEED a chocolate sundae!"
DH: "Sorry, we're fresh out!"
Me: "But I NEED it!"
DH: "I ate the last one!" (with a gleam in his eye)
Me: "Well then, will you go up and get some almonds?"

Which he usually does, and I eat my requisite 1/4 cup. If I had sweets in the house, I swear to you I would eat the entire thing! I just have no will power when it comes to sweets!

Killing time at the church after service and adult class. Will be planning Confirmation here soon.

So far eating today all right. Good breakfast with eggs and bacon and water with supplements. Lunch, rollups and clementines (2). Water, so far, not much. Feeling REALLY sleepy. GOTTA GO!!

Cool Re: New Tracks for the New Year (January)

Peg, I am so there on the sofa with you! I am always drawn to after dinner snacks, treats, and nibbles. Lately, I've been holding myself off with some nuts or a few squares of high grade, ultra dark chocolate. It's so intense, I eat it a tiny crumb at a time. But, a sundae sounds darn good!

I haven't weighed for several days (so unlike me - I usually weigh at least twice a day, LOL). Hopefully, I'm holding the line - my food choices have been well within the LC world with no slips. However, my total calories might be a bit high for much weight loss. I'm doing much better with the water now that my sense of thirst has revived.

Judy, I don't normally shop at Wal Mart as there isn't one that's convenient. But, I may have to go on an expedition and see if they have any of the snickerdoodle mix left. Did you grind up the flax seeds before adding them to the mix?

1388 total calories
96 g fat
34 g net carb (40 total minus 16 fiber)
96 g protein

(follow-up: eeew! after dinner, I fell into a bowl of pepper pecans while reading. Yikes! I bet I ate almost a cup of them! I have no idea, but I'd bet my real numbers for yesterday s/b increased by 25%. )

Hi Gang!

Still sitting at my computer at 12:30 pm and haven't even washed my face yet!! I slept in (dead) this am until 8:30! DH was showered, fed and gone! Gosh, computer time can just chew up your day, huh?

Yesterday was pretty good until after I posted that message. To counteract my tiredness I went out and got two donuts at the next door "bad place." Then I drove to Wendy's and got a large diet coke. In two more hours I had tacos with the confirmands along with a choc. brownie. By the time I got home I was feeling SO SICK!! When I weighed this am I was at 179.4. That's two pounds more than the day before. Sigh.

Today I will track with Diet Power. I wrote to them to see if I could download the software to my new PDA. No. They suggeted that I keep a WRITTEN record of my choices during the day and then enter them at night. DUH!! That's what I'm trying to get away from.

Honestly, I don't know what it's going to take to get me motivated. I'm so tired these days. (of course, I worked more than 12 hours yesterday!)

One of the "pillars" of the congregation told me yesterday that he wanted to talk to me about changing my mind about not staying at the church. Sheesh. It's so flattering that they want me, but, come on!! I'm in my SIXTIES now! Too old to take on a big church with all that entails. Not to mention that I want to winter in SOCA after this winter. And, there is the little detail about the Senior Pastor who IS there and wants to STAY there. I'm NOT getting into that!!

Ya know, it's hard to retire!! So much to think about. And, then someone comes in again and makes me feel real good about what I do. Sheesh. I told him I would talk to him, and I will. But, I'm not going to change my mind.

Check in later with numbers.
Peace, Peg

Here's my numbers:

1342 Calories today
Fat 50%
Carbs 60g - 17 Fiber = 43 G 14%
Protein 29%

Drank 72 oz of water, plus coffee.

Ran across my WW lifetime membership card in my desk drawer today. My goal weight was 150! Sheesh! I'm trying to get to 165 now! And, it's taken me more than a year just to play around in the 170's!!! Cr**

Gotta move my stumps (exercise)
Peace, Peg

Yeah, I had/have one of those too. I think my original goal weight was 128 -- what I was when we got married. I think I upped the number at one time so that I could more easily stay in the no pay zone. I think I'll stick with my LC lifetime membership. It's a whole lot easier to live with.

Todays ugly numbers:
Weight 140
Calories: 1714
Fat: 121
Carbs: 114 - 51 fiber = 63 net
Protein: 93
Fluids: Too many SF soft drinks and coffee... too little water

LOL! my weight was at 140.5 today, too, thanks to the oink oink effect. I do well until a carefully measured portion of dinner snacks turn into an eat-'til-it's-gone routine. I'm trying to get a handle on what's triggering that behavior. I don't particularly think it's the food choices triggering cravings so much as some internal discomfort seeking obliviation in munching.

I haven't been that good about the water, and I recently introduced or re-introduced various supplements (KAL yeast flakes for B-complex, multi-vitamin, coenzyme Q-10, glucosamine/chondroitan/MSM). So, maybe more water and some patience will help me get a better handle on the night time eating.

Remember the cookies I made last weekend. I've really tried to eat just one -- ok, 2-- a day. For all the good I did last week, I've been awful this week. It's not just the cookies, I'm just flat eating lots and lots. I can't even begin to track today's feasting. I'm sure I ate over 2000 calories. I don't want to think about the carbs. However, realative to the calories, I guess they aren't awful.

Bad Judy --- Oink Oink

I should read my own afirmation postings.

quick drive by......... I'm going to see my doctor this afternoon for a check up. I haven't seen this guy in two years. Since I was last there I have lost about 30 pounds, started exercising, and hopefully still have good blood work numbers. Of course, he can't do the blood work this afternoon, I'll have to go back another day to get the fasting amounts.

Judy, I'l bet he's tickled pink with your condition. You're what every doctor dreams of for his patients.

When you do your fasting blood work, don't make the mistake I made - I did a minimal fast. I happened to eat very heavily in the days before, and kept eating almost until the midnight cut-off. Then I rushed in very early in the morning so I could hurry up and get that cuppa! So, the results where higher than I expected. The next time, I didn't stuff myself in the days before, nor skimp on the time I fasted. My results were much, much better.

Ah, Peg! Well done on the healthy eating! I bet your place is just going to look smashing!

My weight's the same, but I haven't been good about tracking. I'm experimenting with some new recipes. So taste testing and using weird ingredients that I can't input into DietPower make it kind hard to track. (yeah, yeah, I hear you ... "excuses, excuses", LOL!).
