Hey Deb, well my eating has been all over the place. Haven't been around much! But, I am maintaining my weight. Ready for the push in 2004 to rid myself of the last 10 pounds!

Well, I already published my carb adictions in another topic, but I have been doing better. School will start again on Monday, and that will force me to be away from the kitchen. Being on a regular schedule is much more productive for me in regards to weight loss. Like both of you, my goal for this year is to get to goal and stay at goal!

Ya know, even though I didn't eat too many naughties, I overdid it in quantity, and the extraneous carbs I did eat woke up the Krazy Kraving Monster for a few days. Sheesh! Glad to say I'm right back on track, both eating and exercise-wise and nothing is even remotely tempting right now.

And hey, Mon!!!! Come back on home, here. Judy, hang on. You'll get back in the swing. Deb, 3 pounds, you lucky girl! I know those are the hardest ones, but you can do it!!

Oh, and in answer to one of your other questions, Deb--what have I learned. I have learned that every holiday season is different. I can't assume because I ate sanely one year that the same will be true the next. Every year, I need to think ahead, remind myself how far I've come, prepare myself for that year's specific activities, and not let down my guard.

But I've also learned that if I do blow it, I'm capable of stopping the madness, something I never, never was able to do before 1998. I've learned that I am worth every ounce of effort it takes, and sometimes it takes every ounce of effort I have. But that's ok.

Wow, girls this has been a good learning experience. I too learned that I dont need to continue bad eating behavior, I am amazed how easy it was to go back to good eating. I lost 1 lb even!!! I realized I love the way I eat when I eat on program. I splurged on Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake. It was wonderful, but it was all I needed to do. I didnt need to continue.
I tried a sugar cookie and found it not at all satisfying. So I stopped. STOPPED was such a victory for me!

BTW MY weight Watchers partner( she's my business partner and she does WW) is thinking of doing Atkins. Ive never preached to her, she just has watched my success. At lunch yesterday she asked a lot of questions. Made me smile.

Good for you, Deb! I've always thought the greatest victory was being able to STOP. Not indulging is satisfying, but the ability to stop is empowering.

I'm happy to hear your partner is interested. You are a great role model for her. I'm also of the "don't preach, don't nag" school, and I do have to bite my lip occasionally. But I believe people have their own destiny. If what I live is beneficial to them, or if they are seeking information, great. If not, they're not ready and my pushing or preaching is probably detrimental.

Gee, I had a bite of Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake once. Ahhhhh, fond memory
