Good Morning Everyone!

Yesterday, I had my bag all packed to go swimming at the health club. While I was driving, I realized I didn't have the membership card with me. I imagine I could have gotten in with ID, but I decided to go to Galyan's, a large sporting goods store, and shop for shorts for my vacation. I think bicycle shorts are my best bet, as they won't ride up and they will fit longer. I got some shorts, got a couple of pairs of shoes for 1/2 price or less. The last thing I need to figure out is when to get new underwear. Much of what I am wearing is from when I weighted over 300 pounds. Anyone know if there are multi-size bras out there? (not jog bras)

Tonight is the LC meeting Barb Keith is organizing. Hopefullly it will go well. I will travel from my WW meeting in Schaumburg to Bloomingdale, where the meeting will be.

Checking in:

Had a fun vacation and as of this morning was back at pre-vacation weight and measures.

Back to induction-like eating.

Have a great day

Blessings!

Hello again!!
It's going to be a stormy week here in sunny CA...so don't worry Monica!! I'm not sunbathing like usual!! LOL

I'm still working out these days with tennis, weights(although I'm lifting here at the house) and cardio, ie. stairmaster. The latest addition is Pilates. I've been very successful in healing my back issues with a steady diet of this type of workout-Pilates/Yoga/stretch. My core is happier now!

I'll recommend Stott Pilates. You can get them online.

My beautiful DD's are amazing! We just finished h2o polo last week...they took second in league! Both girls are playing so I had double the fun...JV and Varsity games to entertain myself--those games are great calorie burners!

DD1 has been successful with weightloss, finally losing 16ish lbs. She is using a software called Balancelog. It's based on a metabolic measure telling exactly how many calories your body burns per day...now eating is more like a math problem for her...she tracks with a palm pilot and it's making sense for her!! I also think she is eating more now than she was--I don't think she ate enough calories for the amount of exercise she was doing so her body was burning muscle intead of fat!

Gonna try to make it out for a quick tennis game before the rain starts...have a lovely day!!

Well, CONNIE, that actually makes me smile! LOL Just kidding, here it is gloomy and COLD! DARN IT! Glad to hear that SUNNY CA isn't always so great! Thrilled to have you back. Sounds like your workout is great. I tried to get into the yoga and pilates, I am way too hyper for such activity. BUT, I am mastering my new membership to the gym, DH is going with me. That makes it fun for us to do together without the kids. Hey, Con, it sounds like your DD has the eating to a science! MAN that is great. 16 pounds is awesome! I am sure their activity level helps!

Have fun playing tennis!

Ok, I'm coming out of the closet.... The new avetar picture was taken about a month ago. It's not a standing full length photo suitable for an "after"; I'm still working on that. But, I decided to let you see who you have been talking to.

Judy, it is about time you came out . You look wonderful! So thin (I am envious ).

Deb, you and your grandson look great too. He is a real cutie.

I was feeling under the weather yesterday and today, until I ate dinner. I guess it was some sort of 24 hr. virus thing (headache & upset stomach). I went to work hoping it would make me feel better . I forced myself to walk yesterday for 30 min, and today I walked for 45. I got in 8300 steps today. My high so far.

The thing is...even with the walking and extra exercising I am doing I have gained 3 pounds. I was hoping it was muscle weight and my measurements would have decreased, but they went up half inch. I did lose in my thigh, calf & arm. I really need to lose in my stomach and hips . I am not going to quit walking, but has anyone else ever had this experience?

Ilse, hope you enjoy your meeting with Barb. It sounds like fun. I work with several people who are doing Atkins, but they seem to not want to discuss it. It would be great to have a LC support group. They are starting a WW at work meeting on Fri. I do not want to spend the $$ to join when I know I am not going to do the program. I'll just have to get my support here.

Sharon, glad you had a great vacation, and did not gain weight.

I hope everyone had a great LC day!
