Hi all! Blush! Thanks, Rachel. You sound like you are doing well. Judy, it's going to be a busy week for you! For me, too. Yesterday was an okay day. Not terrific, but okay. I got really shaky about 4:00, and ran next door to Dunkin Donuts for a blueberry muffin. That lifted my blood sugar enough that I could make it to dinner (at church with the confirmands). The parents cooking brought a six foot long sub, so I was able to eat just the insides and not the roll. Bkfst and lunch were lc. Water was not good and the fiber has not kicked in with me yet, either Judy. This morning I weighed 175 which has been what I have weighed for a couple of days. But, I did lose two pounds last week. If I can keep that up, I'll be pleased. Yesterday I was at the church from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. It was a killer day. Busy most of that time. Today I'm trying to relax and get a little bit organized around the house. It's lunch time and I'm going to fix myself some wraps, and some celery. Bkfast was flaxomeal (I have it every other day). Tracking at the church has been unsuccessful. Our IT person has us blocked out of stuff that is just ridiculous. Fitday is one, but this site comes through just fine! Go figure! Me thinks we are going to get a new IT guy! Anyway, I can track today, and will. I'll report later. Check out my story on the home page! You can see my before and after pics. The red dress one was taken on New Years Eve. The Before was in 2001. Peace, Peg 1/1/03 205/175/155 5'8"

Nope, Judy. I wasn't coming down with anything. Thank God! I was just worn out from Sunday, I think. Last night could have turned into a migraine, but I went to sleep with pain pills. I woke up this morning feeling chipper and myself again! I also feel the "goodness" that comes with a few days of clean eating. I had forgotten this feeling. I feel lighter; better physically (though I didn't know I felt any different); feel as though I look better. Anyway, I heartily recommend recommitting! I ate a good lc bkfst and am off to a marathon Shrove Tuesday at the church. I'm planning to eat sausage, bacon, and a salad I'll buy later today. I've packed my lunch, so should be all right. I'll try to check in later! Peace, Peg 1/1/03 205/175/155 5'8"

Hi everyone! I had my big hearing last Thursday and I won! ($750,000 for my side). Everyone was thrilled, including me. I was then exhausted for 2 days afterward. I was all ready to start tracking on Friday and our computer fritzed out. We just got things up and running today. I did really well last week -- even through my daughter's birthday party -- I resisted cake. Then, on Saturday, late in the evening, I looked at that left-over cake and ate a piece. Even though it was a fairly small piece, I gained 2 pounds overnight. I have eaten very strictly since Sunday and finally lost those 2 pounds. I am back at 222. I really have to stop gaining and losing the same 3 or 4 pounds. Now that the computer is back up, I tracked! Here are my stats: Calories: 1075 Fat: 93 grams Carbs: 16 Fiber: 5 Net carbs: 11 Protein: 46 Judy: I will start up the March topic if you are not back yet. It will feel like old times. I think we are coming up on our one year anniversary of this topic. I think we started in either April or May last year. It's so great that everyone has picture by their names (is that the "avetar"?). Are you doing that, Judy? Law1 Lowcarb since July 2001 296/211/150

| Law, I would be glad for you to start the topic for March. It seems most appropriate. I have really gotten lazy about tracking every day. However, I also feel the need to wean myself off a little. As for the avetar pictures, I cropped and resized Peg's pictures for her story. While I was at it, I cut one down for her avetar. Since she didn't have a web page, I buried her picture on one of my school pages. I'll be glad to help you out if you need something, too. If I end up with too many others, I'll have to create a new web site on something like Tripod to house the pictures. For now, I'm still OK. Let me know if you need instructions or other assistance. And..... congratulations on the success of the case. Judy 180/137-138(still a "work in progress")/135-138 "Even if at first you do succeed, you still have to work hard to stay there." -- Richard C. | Good luck, Judy, to you and your kids!! Our computer is acting up again, so I haven't been able to track, but I have been eating well. I got down to 221 yesterday morning and held it this morning. I ate well today, so I hope to drop down a bit tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well. Law1 Lowcarb since July 2001 296/211/150 |

Hey, Law1 Great to see you! You seem to be doing really well! Congratulations. I have eaten pretty clean this week, too. I haven't been able to track because my computer at work won't configure Fitday. Am fighting with our IT consultant!! Throughout the week I have watched my weight go from 174.8 to 174.0 this morning. In some ways I think that I needed to see it come off slowly to appreciate the value of not cheating. I do "feel" differently though. And my clothes fit differently. I had forgotten this "before the woosh" feeing. I put on a top this morning that I bought three years ago and kept only because I love it. It was too small when I bought it. This morning, it fit!! Yay! Hopefully I'll be able to track maybe today and maybe tomorrow. I'm conducting another job performance review in the morning, but will be much easier than the one last week. I won't bother you with details, I promise, but my dd is currently in an employment discrimination suit with a college where she lives. I'm getting a whole new appreciation for lawyers through the compassion that she is receiving from the one who is helping her. Of course, I'm paying for it!! But, that's really neither here nor there. I just hope she wins. She really needs the benefits that she is asking for. Thinking of Judy today. Hope she is having a good time with those kids. \ Elyssa, where are you? Peace, Peg 1/1/03 205/174/155 5'8"

Good luck to your dd, Peg. All lawyers are terrible until you need one! Just kidding. There are really a lot of great people who are doing work to protect everyone's rights. I was involved in a discrimination lawsuit 20 years ago. It was the toughest thing I ever went through, including the bar exam, etc. It gave me a lot of understanding about what it means to be a client, not just the lawyer. I am glad your dd has lawyers who understand and show compassion. Most people don't understand that it's not about the money, but about respect. It sounds like your dd is getting good help. I didn't track yet today, although I will try later. My weight stayed the same this morning. I ate well today and resisted a lot of bad things. I keep repeating in my mind that the few moments of indulgence are not worth the weight gain. I really want to start losing again. My goal is 170 by June 15. I would love to be where you are, Peg. I know that there are lots of people who would love to be where I am, so I just have to be where I am and move on from there. Law1 Lowcarb since July 2001 296/211/150

Thanks, Law1: I wonder how Judy's kids are doing? I've been thinking of her today. I woke up to 172.8 this morning. I haven't seen 172 yet so I've been feeling pretty slim all day! Performance review that I did went well this morning. then back home to nap a little. I didn't sleep well last night. Don't know why. I didn't track either today or yesterday, though have eaten lc all day. Have only 20 ozs more of water to drink for the day. Peace, Peg 1/1/03 205/172/155 5'8"

I'm here Peg. I know I haven't shown my face around here in quite awhile. There's just so much work to do. I finished my fps (summary of all the great things I have done in the last year) and wrote my letter for someone else's notebook. That stuff was due this past week. Now, I am finishing my notebook. It is due this Friday. I had one copy to look at, and then received someone else's to look at Friday. I haven't worked on it at all this weekend. What I have been doing is: grading tests and homework, typing up two review sheets, and entering grades in the computer. I've been busy. There's not much on tv tonight, so I will try to work on the notebook some later on. That's after I finished grading a few more homework papers. I can't wait till Friday gets here, it will all be done. But, then I am going to a conference this weekend and then I am giving four tests that week. Don't know when I'll get those ready. At least, after that it is spring break! By the way, I have managed to stay lc during my absence. And, I can report an all time low of 141. So, things are going good. I just haven't been tracking at all. The only time I use the computer anymore is to work and check email for work. 220/142/135 7 to go!

Congrats Elyssa on reaching 141! That's terrific. Peg -- how wonderful that you got into 12's!! That's so fabulous. What an upper. I have been eating really well and tracking occasionally. Unfortunately, I am still having some sort of "allergic" reaction and, even though I ate no carbs but vegetables yesterday, I bounced up to 223 this morning. I know it's fluid, but it's discouraging. I did track today, but I am going to start the new March topic and report my tracking there. My calories were under 1000 and my carbs were only six, so I better lose tomorrow!! Over the March topic everyone!! Law1 Lowcarb since July 2001 296/211/150
