Talking 2 Year Anniversary

WOW I have officially been LCing for two years now!!!!! In some ways, I can't believe it. In other ways, I feel like I've been eating this way for all my life. It feels so natural now. Even tho I haven't reached my goal weight yet, I am comfortable where I am. I occasionally dip into the 130's but can't seem to make it stick. My body apparently likes to be around 140, teetering on the edge of that new decade. But I don't let it get me down. I just work the program, exercise, drink green tea and water, have an occasional baked potato or half an apple.

What have I learned so far?:
1) don't freak out when the scale fluctuates
2) drink plenty of water..........and green tea
3) exercise regularly
4) you gotta change your mind-set from "I cant" to "I don't" eat that.
5) helping others on this journey is very satisfying and rewarding and keeps you honest.
6) it helps to find new recipes and change things up a bit once in awhile
7) getting support is essential.

My hope for everyone on this board is that they can find their comfort zone and to not let bumps in the road trip them up. I would give EVERYONE the gift of valuing yourself enough to stick with this WOL. You have to believe you are WORTH it to have a healthy body and mind.

Congratulations, Barb.

It doesn't seem like two years! That must be what they mean by time flying when you're having fun.

Thank you ALL for your kind words. YOU are part of the reason for my success!!!! One of the things I've learned in life is that the BEST way to gain more knowledge is to become the teacher. And every person on this board has helped me be that. I love sharing new ideas in the hopes that I can help make YOUR journey easier. You ALL deserve some of the credit!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!
