| Since my original goal date was June, I'm going to continue on the track that has been a successful weight loss WOE for now. Just to see what happens. I'm getting good nutrition without deprivation, so it couldn't hurt. Still, I can tell that my brain has shifted into a different gear, in view of the marvel of being at my lowest weight since I can remember. Back in 2000, I was a "success" story in FITNESS magazine (thanks to a friend who's a writer and wanted to make some bucks!) The weight I reported then was 138, and it never went lower. As we all know, LC is better in so many ways. And five years from now, I plan to qualify as a success story on the LC side. See you around! P. S. Brief recap: My highest weight, in 1996, was 192. I determined to lose 50 lbs. by my 50th birthday that year, and did, on a low-fat/low cal regime. After a few years, I regained back to about 162. Then I started LC. Through it all, I've been a dedicated home exerciser, and credit that good habit with many benefits in my weight management saga. |

| Barb, congratulations on your success. You've been dedicated and your hard work shows. You deserve a round of applause, for sure!! But now, as you know from experience, maintenance can be a whole 'nuther challenge in itself. As Peg said, please do join us in the "tracking" thread as we support each other and get very real about the ups and downs (no pun intended!) of being a veteran, maintenance and such. Just pop in and don't worry if we're off on a tangent somewhere; you'll catch up fast

| I feel welcome. I did skim through the March thread to see who's around, and what's being discussed. Better to catch a thread that long at the beginning, however, so I'll tune in for April. I'm an LCE-aholic, in case you haven't noticed. So I'll certainly be able to keep up with a daily thread. As you may have figured out from other posts, I'm a writer for Hallmark Cards--have been with the company for my entire life. In Gold Crown Cardshops, you'll be able to find my personal line of cards called "Secrets of a Joyful Heart." My mini-biography is on the back. I'm pretty sure you'll recognize the personality. Go to Hallmark.com and send a few April Fool's Day cards just for fun! Best wishes! |
