LOL, it does sound like one, doesn't it?

I hope your kids don't practice all at once!

I'm glad I found this thread. I really need to recommit to my healthy ways of eating. Last year I did really well until a few days before Christmas when the goodie trays from our clients started to roll through the doors. On top of that, one of the attorneys in our firm gave me a box of Enstrom's toffee. I indulged myself right into bed Christmas day, sick as a dog. And of course, I also paid for it on the scale, too. I was back to eating well and the scale was dropping and then boom, DH wanted ice cream this past Sunday. And I relented and let him walk through the door with our old friends B&J. Well, I ended up sick in bed on Monday and it wasn't pretty. This time around, I realized just how much a negative impact sugar has on my body and it scares me. So I am resolving to:

-Drink 70 to 80 ozs of water per day

-To let nothing but good, LC food touch my lips

-To get up early enough that I can walk the 25 minutes to the light rail station to catch the train into downtown

-To dust off my Firm tapes and begin weight training again

Hey Gang!
How great to see you all! I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened this thread tonight and saw 18 posters! Congratualtions all you recommitters!

I did well today. Clean eating. Lost a pound yesterday, weighed 174 this morning.

Didn't get to post to any forums today. I was just too busy. My desk at work looks like a tornado. Tomorrow will be a little bit easier. Lunch with a parishioner at a restaurant that serves really good salads. Then I have a discussion group all afternoon. Luckily, I only have to listen!

Brenda: Boy, can I groove on those recommitment goals of yours. That is my BIGGEST problem, seeing myself as I am. Not just that, but liking what I see. My dh looked at my before and after pics and said, "What's the difference?"!!!!! In a way I could have killed him, but in the most wonderful way, he sees me as beautiful. He really does. He just doesn't see me as anything else no matter whether I'm sick, first thing in the morning, or weigh 200 pounds. I love it! It really helps me to accept myself. I don't get away with "dissing" myself around any physical issue. At least outloud. I'm right in there with you, girl.

Esther, Sharron, Brenda, Michele, AJ, and Monica! Good going!! We can do this!!

Peace, Peg

Ok girls, I'm off for four days with nine kids. I'm sure I'll need some recommitment come Monday. I'll be thinking about my goals while I'm gone.

Good Snowy Morning from Atlanta...

Thanks to about 4 inches of snow this morning (an anomaly for Georgia), my office is closed until 11am this morning. (OK, northerners & midwesterners, I know you're laughing...but the south is not prepared for this.) This means that I got to make myself a nice, healthy breakfast this morning. An egg, cheese, & sour cream omelette! YUM!!!

Scale hovered between 167.5 and 168 this morning, so I chose 168 as my weight this morning to be conservative.

Yesterday finished well - about 120 oz. of water, grilled chicken salads for both lunch & dinner, 1 hour at the gym, and NO food after 7:30pm. I'd call that successful...

Here's to another great LC day!!!

Eating is clean and feeling good. Working out like crazy and feeling the effects of it!

Hey all!
Great to see you today! I've gotten home from my marathon week, with a day off tomorrow. I'll have more time to post tomorrow. Did well today. Clean eating.

Lost a little bit more yesterday. Down to 174.2.

I'm aware that I'm not living up to my recommitment goals. I'm sorry. I'll do better tomorrow. I just haven't been near a computer until now. And now, I have to go and watch "Friends." I k now. I know. But, I have such few little pleasures!

Think of Judy, all. She is up to a real challenge this weekend with her school teenagers.

I exercised this am. Second time this week! Fiber is working too. Should notice a difference tomorrow.

See ya all tomorrow!

Wow, AJ, Snow?? And we're actually having a relatively nice 40 degree sunny day here in Chicago.

Mon, sounds like your DH has picked quite a challenge for lent--don't know if I could do that one, either...

Peg, I screwed up today, too. In a rush this am and totally forgot to say/do anything nice for myself. Haven't had enough water, waited too long for breakfast and got a headache, then ate too much......Well I'll have to put a note on the mirror or on the inside of my glasses Creating a new habit is a challenge.

Sounds like we are all making valiant attempts. Each battle fought and won is what wins a war

I did fine the past couple of days. I've lost a total of 12 inches and had a 2 pound woosh this morning. My Body Flex + weights is working out really well. I'm definitely seeing and feeling a difference!

Have a great evening all

Blessings!

Happy Friday!

Another successful day yesterday...I am down to 167.5.

Had a cobb salad w/ranch for lunch and a turkey/bacon mignon & edamame for dinner. Finished eating by 7:30pm, and had about 120 oz. of water. Took about a 1-mile walk last night (to see the snow).

Rushed out the door this morning & forgot my vitamins (I'll take them when I get home). Have only 2 (1 oz) string cheese for breakfast.

Here's to another LC day!

Hi y'all!
Just stopping by in what's left of the morning to say hi!
thanks for the warm words Brenda! You're so right. Creating a new habit IS hard. Today I'm going to do better.

Talked to my best friend in CA this morning. We have a standing Friday morning date to talk on the phone. We try to see each other a couple of times a year. It's such a great Friday treat!

I'll write more later. Now I'm down to exactly 174. Saw 173 on the scale, but it finally stopped at 174.0. Should see some change tomorrow.

So good to have you all as companions on this journey. I hesitated starting this thread because I wasn't sure that I could live up to a recommitment. I forgot that it's hard for everyone! Thanks.

Sharron, you are doing amazingly well! Your commitment to this WOL is admirable. I hope it's all right, but I take strength from you.

Peace, Peg
